Baguio Dining A La Carte – Keeping Up with the Food Quest

At least trying to. =))

Whoa, are our gobs so busy chomping!

I’ll divide the menus in subcategories: Newly checked off (which might be newly opened restaurants or just some place I’ve never tried before *hee), updated menus, menus of places in limbo (for me. Dang, not again!) and one we’ll put under a “seen but not yet tasted” category. *hihi

Newly Checked Off

Let’s get things started with the biggest wave maker. =D

1.) Cookout by Size Matters

Sausages, burgers, BBQ: Lotsa meaty goodness. Oh, I know who’ll want to eat here on June 21st. *wink wink

2.) Famous Belgian Waffles

They’ve got ads for newer combos like apple cinnamon as well. Even those new ones go for P45 to P55. Light and easy breakfast, anyone?

3.) Canto

This is at their Bakakeng Branch at Arc Residences. Up for enjoying your lomo ribs alfresco (and where it’s not crowded *snickers)?

4.) Index, Coffee Books Gifts

Also sandwiches, pasta, pies … and cookies. \m/

5.) Kofe Tavern

The first foodie place at Nevada Square that we’ve tried recently. I haven’t been here since I was 15 topping off with a huge glass of Slurpee after a fun time at the CJH skating rink! (Shout out to Jaey and Rikki. Big hugs, my skating and Slurpee drinkin’ buddies! (“,))

6.) Sensational Blendz

While this sounds like another milk tea place, it is not. Au contraire, it’s another simple but staple with a gourmet flare eating place. Good on you to the two guys manning the store! (Thank you, Ms. Ruthanna, for telling me about them.)

7.) Whitemoon Bar and Grill

They used to just cater to the night crowd and now, they’re opening a little bit earlier in the day, 11:00 a.m., to serve us all lunch. What a scrumptious lunch offering it is!

Updated Menus

8.) Cafe de Angelo

Aside from the bacon wrapped sandwich, there are many other new additions you might want to try.

9.) Green Pepper

Long time, no see, Green Pepper! How I’ve missed you! ^^,

10. La Comida de Antonio Ristorante

A more straight forward menu. I’m just relieved to see X+1 favorite, Rosa Maria sinigang still there.

11.) Posticino

Hello, Posticino, it was great to see you again! =)

In Limbo

12.) The Other Office at Villa Cordillera

I think they’ve gotten better from being Fireplace … but then they served me a ‘steamed fillet of red snapper with capers’ dish that was devoid of capers. I think that was no red snapper either, but cream dory. Hhhmm. *rubbing index finger on chin Could’ve just told me it wasn’t available. =S

13.) Shevaun Restaurant

For a resto that just had their grand opening in May, their offering was not complete. We ordered vichyssoise (just so I could say it *heehaha) and it wasn’t available. Our fallback, the uber diluted tom yum, didn’t live up to my standards. It was pretty pricey to boot, soooo that’s where the uncertainty of its standing is for me.

Seen … but not yet Tasted =b

14.) Kashmir Biryani Cafa (Halal Foods)

Since Ahmad Brothers moved to their new spot on that street between Legarda and Kisad, another Indian restaurant has since taken up its old space in Abanao Square. We’ll be seeing you sometime, Kashmir!

So that gets you up to speed with where I’ve been eatsploring lately. Feel free to leave a comment on this post if you don’t know where these restaurants are located and would like to try it out before I get to writing the feature posts. Please be reminded of GMRC. Till feature blog posts for these food establishments, happy Baguio food adventures, guys!
