UPDATE: La Comida de Antonio Ristorante
Back to Antonio’s Restaurant!
Which isn’t difficult to do because La Comida de Antonio Ristorante is right in town. (WHAAT? You didn’t read the account on the first visit to this resto yet? Click here, click here. =D)
I was craving for a glass or two of their smooth, velvety, thick ice cream shakes even though it was a cold day that day Beth and I met up, but for this particular visit, we were in for a little let down – the shakes have been nixed from the menu. (The crowd goes awww … that time, it was just me doing that really. I’ve still got my fingers crossed it’s only temporary since I already aired out my grievances to the owner *hihi Can you imagine those glasses in the summer heat, sip ahh moment! \m/)
And so P2 fell back on milk tea … faint milk, faint tea flavors.
The soup’s been calling to me since our first visit and so we got some then. I’m not sure now if it was squash and broccoli or potato and leek soup. Maybe it was the former, because it tasted mighty squashy. (Squash takes your vote too, doesn’t it?) Whoa, that was thick … and it came in a huge bowl too. Just eating this is enough to top someone off. =)
Pescado is a plate of pangasius on mango salsa. I don’t believe I ever ate pangasius before, it’s just like cream dory. Oh, so zingy is that salsa … which we needed more of after a few bites of the coarse and throat scraping breaded fish.
One fine plate of pasta, this creamy and flavorful penera is. Love that primavera cream! (It helped us finish off the fish … Actually, we finished off everything we got for this meal *hee Cheers to multicompartmental stomachs.)

Riva’s ribs on a bed of crisscut potatoes
A week later, Ms. Gracie invited X+1 back to this La Azotea restaurant. A sumptuous dinner is what we had (consisted of Riva’s ribs, kiev, pescado with lots and lots of mango salsa, Antonio’s signature chicken, pula pasta, and chicken hash sandwich) allll courtesy of Maam Pam and Sir Antonio. (Thank you so much po! Hooray and more power to Antonio’s! (“,))
Another one for the list of my Ristorante faves. Kiev looks a lot like cordon bleu, I know, but it’s made up of chicken breast rolled around delicious garlic butter and herbs mixture. ^^,
This – made Race’s list of favorite chicken dishes. Oh, those secret herbs surely gave this fowl wings to fly! *nomnomnom
Pasta tossed in sauce loaded with tomatoes. It’s the (tomato) richest pasta I’ve ever had to date. I can see in my mind’s eye how my face could look like Snoopy with an asterisk for a mouth eating this one. =b
A satisfying twist of a sandwich. In the photo, that’s coleslaw salad in between two hash browns, served on top of strawberry jam. It offers up a bombardment of tastes with every bite.

P2 and the food and drink from Antonio’s restaurant that I/we’ve had so far.
Here’s a photo of X+1 with Maam Pam, Ms. Gracie, Ms. Karla and Sir Don. (Thank you so much for the invite, Ms. Gracie! It was nice to meet you, Ms. Karla of La Femme Boutique and Sir Don!)
As it was the first time, la comida de Antonio Ristorante: muy delicioso.
