Dining A La Carte in Food Trip City, Baguio City

Another posting on menus … because there are just so many restaurants popping up in our beautiful food trip city, Baguio City! \m/

But first, something …

2016-01-13 Foggy Mountain Cookhouse menu completely checked off

… that I’m feeling so accomplished about this first month of 2016: I’ve tasted everything that Foggy Mountain Cookhouse has to offer so far! Victory dance!

(Partly due to Chef Babes giving Race and me the role of guinea pig for his newest stuff. Thank you so much, Chef! *still victory dancing.)  (I suddenly have the image of Kuzco as a llama in Emperor’s New Groove moving his hooves going “Uhuh! Uhuh-uhuh-uhuh!“)

1.) Coffee Library

My brother and I thoroughly enjoyed the fried rolls stuffed with tasty meat here … Oh, and the Tequila Rose cupcakes. Got word from our foodie friends, Ela and Paolo, too that the sardines pasta was to die for.

3.) Canto Bogchi Joint

Despite the Bakakeng branch closing, the newest branch on Arellano Street is such a fantastic move for them. I love the new place, and you’ll like it too, for sure! Wider dining area both inside, in the patio and al fesco; more parking space, dap-ayan for bonfires, swings … just wonderful!

You have done it again, Xine! This is another bulk of Baguio restaurants to add to my checklist. I don’t think I have seen Habibis Grill before. Congratulations on completing the Foggy Mountain Cookhouse menu. Am I to assume you are a big fan of Chef Babes cooking now? Thank you for these Baguio resto menus. 🙂

    • XiNE says :

Whoa, Candy! Fast to comment! *hihi

Yes, another bulk since restaurants are opening in Baguio like crazy mushrooms! =b Habibis used to be a small stall on Legarda Road, across from Prince Plaza Hotel, I think that was. Had tables on the sidewalk so I’m happy that they’ve got a proper store now.

Big, big fan of Chef Babes’ food since the first time we tried it. He makes it so easy to come back and come back and come back to Foggy Mountain Cookhouse; the food’s soooo good, it’s affordable and he’s such a wonderful person to be around.

Thank you so much for looking in on the newest blog posts on Find Good Baguio Foods! I really appreciate it, Candy! (“,)

      • Candy says :

Obvious ba, I’m always looking for your new posts. 🙂 You’re doing so well at keeping your readers informed about new Baguio restaurants!

I think I should put FOggy Mountain at the top of my list since you like the place so much. What are your other favorite dishes from there aside from the squid?

        • XiNE says :

Heehaha, I cannot thank you enough, Candy! Hopefully, I can get some feature posts up soon. At the moment, I’m trying to concentrate on stuff that helps me bring the bacon home. =b

Oh, yeses for putting Foggy Mountain on the top of your list. Must check off ASAP! *hihi After crispy squid fries, I like re-ordering the Greek peasant lamb dish, the brickoven roasted lamb, and the pies (chicken and/or seafood). I’ll throw in chipotle pork chop as an extra, Race likes that a lot. (“,)

          • Candy says :

Got it! 🙂 I’ll make a reservation soon. I can’t thank you enough for all the good work you are putting into this Baguio food and resto update. God bless you!

            • XiNE says :

Aww, thanks ever so much, Candy! *hihi

I hope you have a fantastic experience at Foggy Mountain as well as in the other restaurants you check off your (ever growing) list. (“,)

where is chef’s dudung located? thank you

  4. Mar says :

Can i ask where to buy good tasting kimchi in baguio??? I want to give it as pasalubong to my relatives. Thanks!

    • XiNE says :

Hello, Mar! I like the kimchi they sell at the Assi Mart Korean grocery on the first floor of Porta Vaga. Mr. Ramyun in the Isec building beside Center Mall also has it. I think the brandname is Haru. They sell it in small containers, there’s half a kilo and 1 kilo and some smaller ones too, if I’m not mistaken. I’ve seen some sold in Holiday Supermart as well. You might want to give a smallest one a try to see if that’s the kimchi taste you like. Hope this helps! (“,)
