Craft 1945 – Casa Marcos: Their House is Your/Our House
Finally, it’s happened to me … #90sDanceMusic
Casa Marcos … right in front of my face. My feelings, can’t describe it. ♪ ♪
Ahh, that’s a stretch. I can describe it. =b In a word, “ecstatic” … that I finally stepped into the threshold of this old house turned restaurant. For the number of times I passed by Outlook Drive, from the passenger seat of a van, then behind Race on a motorcycle, what I always saw is the house beside it. Who knew the beauty that is the Craft 1945 house sitting high up on the hill.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
There’s nothing like being in Outlook to drink in the early morn. The sunlight has a different way of shining here, it seems to me, filtered through the needles of the many pine trees around. =) I relished in it while we waited for the blessing to mark the grand opening of Craft/Casa.
There’s lots to see in and around the property. One of the most notable, as you come up the driveway, are the jeans used as pots for some fern. Soil does fill up shapely jeans very well, don’t you think? *hihi
Right beside it is a staircase leading to the terraced al fresco set up of the Craft Brewery branch. If you walk in front of the house to the other side, there’s a huge parking space that can accommodate a number of vehicles. \m/
Inside the house, there’s two floors with different sections offering ample seating for huge parties you might want to hold here. One facet on the second floor that amused me are the doors to the loos. I’m thinking it’s a great conversation piece. ^^, I’ll leave out a photo of that from here and encourage you to go see for yourself when you finally make a visit.

The Queen and I
After the eventful morning, we celebrated with soup, salad, tapas, chicken, paella, and a lemonade mocktail for lunchies. I don’t believe , I’ve ever had mushroom soup like this. So many mushroom bits, it made me happy. =D
The tapas like tips a la pobre and baked clams topped with cheese (I didn’t see that on the menu) (UPDATE 02/07/2020: It’s on their latest menu now, ‘almejas’) , we ate with the loaded rice of the seafood paella. We also had Craft 1945 pollo, and Caesar salad. I enjoyed their lunch drink so much, I asked for another glass when lunch ended.
Our day wasn’t over yet, however. We came back in the evening … what Sir Chris referred to as ‘when the real party starts’. Wee!
Eat, Drink, Chill
What a sight the Craft’s and Casa Marcos’ new house is in the evening; the warm glow streaming from the windows, the sparkly lights over the alfresco section, and the bonfire calling to me like a flame would to a moth. ^^,
We parked ourselves in one of the tables under the stars and the sliver of a moon this time as we waited for our foodie blogging friends. We got started with our first glasses of Craft Brewery brews: Old Xavier and Lagud.
Eat we did, when we were all complete; and Englishman in New York entertained the four in our group through to the end of the night as the perfect accompaniment to the picapica dinner.
In Chiki‘s and my case, we drowned ourselves on the mocktails. Read kiddie drink. *tahaha I went through the list; peach and blueberry, and cucumber and basil. *sip ahh We alternated our sips of the fantastic drinks with mushroom adobo, that was a nicely done adobo.
The Spanish sisig was also a fantastic pulutan, with its rich fat and minute crispy bits of liempo, chorizo, and pork ears. If you happen to bite into a chili, which highness (Ane) did, it’s an eyes wide open sensation and a quick reach for more beer. *hee
A Spanish resto wouldn’t be a Spanish resto without callos. Ahh, the tender tripe and ox tail skin in tomato sauce was a taste explosion. When all the solids were gone, we had a mind to ask for rice to clean the callos sauce away from the serving dish. *tee hee We got our fill of Casa Marcos’ paella and tenderloin tips, too. The garlic fried in the oil with the meat was a real treat.
Over drinks and delicious food, we bonded with our fellow foodies. We went miles with the stories and the laughs as the night passed quickly away. We sure felt at home in the beautiful 1950s house that is Craft 1945/Casa Marcos. Their house is our house and we ended the day feeling fulfilled and satisfied. (“,)

Hello there, William! Perfect match, Casa Marcos tapas and Craft Brewery beers for sure. I think I saw an article somewhere years back that Craft brought their beers to a Manila branch so Baguio branch isn’t so different.
