Menu/Food Crawling the Newest Places to Eat in Baguio (dos)
The holiday weekend is over.
It’s our turn, as Baguio residents, to come out of house arrest, eat out and frolic in and around our fair city. Yey! =b
For our eatsploring purposes, I have here the menus of restaurants my foodie posse and I have recently checked off our never ending, ever growing resto checklist.
1.) Bahay Hignaw Cafe
A nice and spacious house house turned B&B and cafe.
Left me wondering, however, about the serving portion of the viands, especially their Filipino and local dishes section. Says there, it’s good for three to four pax. With what we got, I furrowed my brow if they meant three to four babies? Three to four people on a crash diet? Three to four little people? =))
Anyhoo … They’ve local wines to offer like strawberry, bugnay … and even yacon. Thank you for the taste test, they were delightful. The kiwi yogurt drink was enjoyable as well.
2.) BCC Food Camp
Hit six cuisines in one spot throughout the Panagbenga and summer seasons (only) at the Baguio Country Club foodcamp. Open to the public … even to your furry lovies. Pet friendly! ^^, (Opens 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, 10:00 a.m. on weekends.)
[How thrilled was I to meet two golden retrievers in this food camp’s opening day? T-H-R-I-L-L-E-D (even if one of them slobbered all over my pants while giving me a sniffy once over. =D Overjoyed to meet you, “nosey” one and Vega.)]
3.) Cocina del Sol Spanish Cuisine
Cocina del Sol finally pushed through with their dine-in service. However, since there are limited tables at the moment, it’s by reservation. Visit their Facebook page for inquiries and bookings. (The more advance the reservation, the better for everyone *hihi). These days, they do have a set meal that consists of tapas, soup, salad, paella, carne, and drinks for P850 per person, but I bet you can still pick out some stuff from their food list below to add to your lunch or dinner booking or for pick up. (The cocina’s garlic dip got me and P2, Ate Beth and Karla, doing the fingertip kiss.)
4.) Iray’s Kapetearia
*sip ahh, their rose slush blended drink. That was one majorly uber amusing refreshing taste sensation from a libation. Delightful fried rice as well, in the (student sized) rice meal that comes with siomai or bangus lumpia.
Covered with magazine cutouts, quotes, and vocabulary lessons on some of the most interesting words, the Iray’s wall proved to be extremely entertaining. Kudos to the artist! \m/
5.) Jaime’s Family Feast/Jimmy’s Family Feast

Oopsies, I forgot to include the drinks menu on this collage. =b Soda is P60, juices in can are P40-P45, beers are P65, a pitcher of iced tea/lemonade is P180 and bottled water is P30. They have some other drinks on the blackboard standee like spritzers which is like an Italian soda but instead of Sprite and syrup tandem, it’s Sprite and juice. They also have (Ifugao) coffee from the Tribu brand and tall creamy blended drinks. Sweet treats are spread out on the island table in the middle of the dining area, too. ^^, Cholo’s Gastro Park is growing as a food community.
6.) San Agi Bistro at Stone Terrace Lodge
The lodge is also Teareals‘ new home.
You know what to do to get the exact location of these newly opened eating places. =)
Happy gallivanting, foodie friends! (“,)
