The Menu Road to A Food Coma-part 2
Hello, Baguio food questers!
Just a quick peek to see how you guys are doing … or more of, to show you I’m still alive. =b I hope your food adventures the past month went well.
I already had a handful of menus before I went on hiatus and just when I was experiencing some cabin fever (from three weeks ‘new’ house arrest, doing renovations), Sir Albert and Chef Kevin of Ozark swooped in to give me a little pick-me-up (Thank you so very much po! ^^,). (There’s nothing that makes me happier than eatsploring. *hihi)
So here we are with part two of the menu road to a food coma.
Newly Checked Off
1.) Doya Jokbal Bossam
Taking over the reins from Le Vain Bakery Legarda, X+1 and the pillars of Ozark Restaurant thought this was a good move since no one really serves jokbal (none that I can think of at the moment), even with the number of Korean restaurants we have in ‘Seoul, Philippines’. =))
What is jokbal, you say? Why, it’s pig’s feet … Think crispy pata but cooked in new ways we didn’t think of. Go ahead and try it. At the jokbal and bossam resto, they debone the meat enough that you wouldn’t realize what you’re chomping on is pig trotters. Combos come with six pieces mandu and makguksu/buckwheat noodles salad (whoa, that was major interesting too). =D
Heads up: When they say spicy, they mean spicy. *whoo-zah Also, we can take them at their word that their combos are good for two to three. It’s amazing how filling a combo was. \m/
2.) E99 Food Station
Their accompaniment to the pork pinuneg Benguet longanisa meal – red egg ensalada drizzled with sesame oil was nyum. Why didn’t we think of that? I do love all things sesame. *contented sighs
3.) Lamisaan Dining & Bar at The Holiday Inn
We have our very own “The Holiday Inn”. Said the way Alicia Silverstone’s character said it to Brendan Frasier’s character in Blast from the Past, proving to him that she is psychic.
Shout out to our attentive garcon, Sir Dave. =)
4.) Seareniabay Cafe
The mermaid themed resto moves closer to civilization *taha, so we finally got to try their frozen cheesecakes on a stick. Yipee.
5. Yellie’s Cafe
Whoa, the old Filipino-Chinese General Hospital is sure becoming a destination chow building (Rock’n Woods and Bow and Whiskers are here as well). What got us here was their quick fix affordable laksa. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Yellie blended libations. *sip ahh
Updated Menus
6.) Pre-tea Belle’s Cafe and Restaurant
We got to see what’s new at Pretea Belle for we’re almost always in the vicinity. (We need lots of stuff from U Need. *hee )
7.) Rancho Norte
With the resto serving Filipino greats already open and ready to serve, the new food community house is complete. Wee!
I want to stay and “chat” some more, foodie friends, but the renovation work, it’s never ending. (Feels that way anyway. Geez)
Anyhoo. Well wishes for your eatscursions. (And to all those who sent consoling messages and encouraging words, I really appreciate it. I couldn’t thank you enough.) (“,)

Nabuhay ang food blogging goddess. Mansion naman ata pinaparenovate mo gurl. hehe Bukas na pala ang Holiday Inn.
Hello, Mario! Ahaha, wish it was a mansion … that’s being built, not renovated. Too challenging, renovating. I think a blank slate would’ve been easier to handle.
Yes, we have our very own Holiday Inn (by extension, another place to eat in Baguio in Lamisaan Restaurant) since the beginning of this month. I think a good place to rampa … such a wide floor space. *hihi
Thank you for keeping a look out at what’s happening in this food blog. All the best and happiest memories from your eatscursions! (“,)
Hi!! Where did Sereniabay Cafe move? Welcome back. I really missed your posts.
Hello there, Steph! Mermaid themed cafe, Sereniabay moved to Bokawkan, it’s one of the stores in the building beside Holiday Supermart.
Glad to have a post up, even if it’s just a menu feature. Thanks for dropping in on Find Good Baguio Foods. Happy eatsploring! (“,)
Tnx
Hello there! You’re welcome. I hope you have a great time at the restos you choose to visit. (“,)
Parang masarap yung jokbal Parang crispy pata na ibang luto? Ano yun may sabaw yun isa sa baba iha
Hello, Adel! Boneless crispy pata, meat is rolled. Mustard sauce the sabaw looking one. Interesting, refreshing taste … Like there’s wasabi in the sauce, not so spicy but it does clear the nostrils some.
I hope you have as great a time dining at Doya Jokbal Bossam as much as we did! Thanks for dropping by this food blog. (“,)
You find the best places to eat!! Tnx for your very informative blog. We hope you feel better.
