Baguio Food Tour Thru Menus

2016-07-08 Baguio Sessions Gallery Cafe

Enjoying the time at this vantage point of a cafe. =D [Grand opening today (07/18/2016) as well as the launch of their other offerings besides drinks and Kharis desserts.]

For this post, I have for you, nice food questers out there, a series of menus  from the newest restos/cafes/eateries in Baguio that me and my foodie posse have checked off our list recently. We cover more ground in this quick gastronomic expedition, don’t we, kindred spirits? *wink

Newly Checked Off in Food Trip City Baguio City

1.) Blue Tent Burgers and Shakes

A fantastic food find by Tita Beth, Tito Tony, Kiko, AA and Miguel, Tita Lea‘s superfoodie extended family. (Shoutout to you all and thank you!) This little food joint by the road has the most wonderful smelling, thirst quenching, haunt-your-dreams, I-want-more kind of strawberry mint smoothie I’ve ever had. And the burgers, maaaaan! \m/

(Sending out big hugs to Tita Roland and all the members of Doglas’ family.

X with Baguio Doglas ORIGINAL CELEBRITY Saint Bernard dog

So happy to have had the chance to give you a pat and a hug, Doglas. Thank you for the joy you have given to Baguio and its visitors.

Just the thought that DJ, the original St. Bernard celebrity dog, is no longer with us, makes Baguio a little sadder these days po. =(   We miss you terribly, big fuzzy huggable!)

2.) C.R.O.M. Bord Kusina

^^,

Their sisig isn’t dubbed their best seller for nothing. Another one of the best sisig-s I’ve had. Watch me scrape those delicious fatty gummy bits that stuck to the sizzling plate. *heehaha

3.) Che Figata Restaurant

In Che Figata, the great spot for pastas and the pristine salad that was Posticino lives on! Hooray!

4.) The Garden Diner

Another refreshing drink in their buko pandan cooler. And a better way to enjoy GG, the scad fish. Whoa, I didn’t think I would like that … but I did. So. Much. *hihi

5.) Soup District

Taking over the space where Chubby Bibs used to be. ^^,

6.) Spoon&Stone Cafe

I’ll be back for more spicy corn biscuits, potato salad, Yakult shakes, for sure. =D

=)

They also have a month long (July 16, 2016 to August 15, 2016) ramen challenge going on, you guys. Finish one bowl of Spoon and Stone’s spicy miso ramen under five minutes to get that bowl free. Also, you win P300 worth food and drink voucher for your next visit. Me thinks, that’s going to go a long way what with their reasonably priced dishes. Do visit their page for more details.

7.) Triple N Eatery

Bak kut teh in Baguio, wee! How Race loved everything about this dish: The meat, the soup, the price.

***

When we came to get some Himalayan grub from Alexandria, two days ago, we came upon it closed  with some kind of renovation going on inside. I’m not sure if they’re just improving their eatery facilities or if they’re totally closed but I’ll still put their menu here, just in case … (and fingers crossed) it’s the former. I want more chicken malai boti!!! Please don’t be closed forever, Alexandria.

UPDATE 09/21/2016: Baguio food adventurer Clar just informed me that they’ve reopened as Chef Restaurant. Hooray!

UPDATE 09/28/2016: We’ve just checked it off the list and isss gooood. Feature post coming soon!

Updated Menu

After posting a throwback on the blog’s Facebook page, I suddenly remembered, I was keeping a most recent Marosan afforda-eats list in my archives. =)

And with this menus feature, I’m done with my nonpaying hobby for the day … that is, unless, you have questions about where some of these restaurants are, you can always leave a comment below this post or send a message to the blog’s FB page. Happy Baguio food trails!
