Due to the overwhelming response to Krispy Kreme‘s first ever branch opening in Baguio, the ever famous doughnut brand decided to expand with a second branch to make it even easier for the people in the City of Pines, residents and visitors alike to share and bring home #joyinabox.
With their second KK store opening at the lower ground floor of SM (right next to the taxi stand), we were given another opportunity to meet as well as bond (over doughnuts and drinks) with our fellow Cordillera bloggers and social media influencers. (Thanks muchie for this chance, Krispy Kreme!) (Such a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Gem, Sir Cy, and Ms. Joy. Glad to have you back on this side of the world, Sir Ash!) \m/

Aside from this being the 79th Krispy Kreme store in the whole Philippines, the grand opening of this donut depot was set on the brand’s 79th birthday. Doughnuts & coffee since 1937, man!

Besides the opening date, there’s another element that makes this newly opened KKD chain store special. It’s one of the few branches with a different kind of interior design to it = warmer and cozier. ^^, But don’t take my word for it, nice Baguio food questers; go see, GO SEE!
If you happen to pass by the mall or while you’re waiting in line for a taxi after doing some grocery shopping, its coffee shop vibe just might beckon for you to come in, make yourself comfortable, rest awhile … while munching on an Original glazed donut, a Baked Creations Kruffin or a Pull Apart, or the exclusive flavor to Baguio stores: Double choco strawberry cake coupled with a warming cup of coffee or a refreshing creamy beverage (depending on Baguio’s erratic weather). =D

So back to the grand opening event, we’ve gotten our breakfast fill of the Krispy Kreme’s birthday spread, the birthday doughnuts: nutty butter & kreme, chocolate chip & kreme, and kremey cookie
as well as KK’s drinks. *nomnomnom
This parting gift of more doughnuts, tin box (I just put the birthday donuts from the box in there), and pretty Krispy Kreme shirt is very much appreciated. Thank you, KKD!
When things went into full swing, a long line of patrons, excited for Krispy Kreme’s birthday treat of a free box of six original glazed when a dozen is purchased, was formed. Everyone was sure uber happy (… to the point of shedding happy tears like the emoji? Apparently, yes. *teehee).
