Of Donuts, Unique Celebrations, and Gatherings at Krispy Kreme Baguio
We’re back at Krispy Kreme Baguio 1 with our fellow foodie blogging friends …
… at the invitation of Sir Dean of KK. (A different Dean to our Dean. *hihi)
Any day and everyday is a good day to celebrate. At KKB, we gathered to celebrate how #EveryoneIsAnOriginal, what makes Baguio (and La Trinidad) unique, and of course, Panagbenga 2019. =)
[Thus, the flower outfit (and Race’s blossom pin to add to his “uniform”) … which I had to go ukay-ukay for, when I got the invite because I realized, even with a closet that needed a huge medieval wooden bar like the one they use to secure castle gates, I haven’t a single bright, posy patterned thing to wear. Oh my! (But I swear, the insoles of my shoes are flowery. *hee)
(I have that knitted coat, sure, but I didn’t think the flowers on that popped. =D )]
From the grazing table of donuts that the KKdoughnut staff laid out for us, we were reunited with the double choco strawberry cake, first and foremost … looking a bit Christmas-y, placed side by side with one of this joint’s matcha selections.
Their matcha offering, both as munchies and beverages, get a fingertip kiss from me, all right. ^^,
Eiii, s’mores, that charred melted marshmallow topping is un-mis-takable. Paired with dark choco = nyum!
Lots of (phone)cam clicking going on at events like these.

Photo ops, ops course. =b
It’s not all sweet and saccharine eatables at KK. There’s savory options (like Baked Creations Pull Aparts) and today, the juicy, juicy sausage roll in the photo below. The real name slipped my mind so that’s how we’ll call it for now. Pig (yes, just one) in a blanket works, too. *heehaha
In between mouthfuls, we got a refresher on the Krispy Kreme story from GM Gem, and we cheered our foodie friends on, when they won prizes in the games. #HakotAward, Demi and Marsh. Wee!
We also had the opportunity to design our own donut. Race made his at this store’s pre opening foodievent, now, it’s my turn.
Using strawberry ripple as the main topping, my doughnut came out looking like a blood spatter. (Suits me just fine, methinks; I’m into crime solving shows to the tune of Crim Minds, Dexter, Elementary.) As soon as we got home, I spread the fruit ripple out more evenly (as evenly as I could =b) to define the petals.
I made a really sweet one, my brother says, tingling in anticipation of a major sugar rush. (“,) (That’s sugar glaze, strawberry icing, petals made of strawberry “jam”, and orange sugar crystals that does look a lot like pollen, you have to admit right?)
To help make your Panagbenga celebration sweeter (I promise, not as sweet as the donut I designed *teehee), Krispy Kreme gives us the Half Dozen Treat. Buy a pre-assorted dozen (P395), you get a box of 6 original glazed doughnuts for free (save P234). #KrispyKremePH #KKBaguio
***Thank you to Krispy Kreme and Max’s Group. Inc., for inviting me and my better half over to your store again. Many thanks for the take home #JoyInABox (KK tin cans) (The OGs, we put a bagel twist on, by smearing half with herbs and spices cream cheese. Oh yeah, umami.), as well as “Original” “Glazed” ecobags and Flower Festival pins.
