#UbeXStrawberry Food Crawl at SM City Baguio
Brace yourself for a ton of scrolling, my foodie friends. =b
Let your fingers do the walking (more like moonwalking *hihi) while I hope to entice you and get you drooling for the foodstuff that we got to see … and snap photos of … in our berry and yam themed food crawl from the lower ground floor to the third floor of SM City Baguio. \m/
Make like a real pirate, food questers, and follow SM’s treasure map of ube and strawberry treats offered in and around the mall. Arrr!
1.) La Lola Churreria
A newly opened booth in the mall that features churros. They’ve got a variety to offer like the ones covered in ube chocolate and strawberry chocolate from tip to tip in the collage below. =D
2.) Krispy Kreme
Double chocolate strawberry doughnut, we meet again.
3.) Mak-makan Pasalubong
Good Shepherd best sellers as well as other ways one can enjoy strawberries. ^^,
But of course, there will be the ever famous strawberry shortcake on this list.
But did you know they also have a purple yam cake? I say, I was pleasantly surprised. (“,)
5.) Beans Talk
How nice they now also have a booth in the shopping mall.
And their ube cake is probably the prettiest ube cake I’ve ever seen.
6.) Red Ribbon Bakeshop
There’s this cake, and there’s ube macapuno rolls too (though I didn’t see them on this quick visit to the bakeshop).
Strawberry cheesecake ensaymada. Interesting.
7.) Starbucks Coffee
Of course, the classic strawberries and cream frap makes an appearance.
Now, that’s new to me. Purple yam cheesecake. Looks delish, no?
Okay, let’s take a breather. I sure needed one with the power walk in the mall. I’m now nice and exercised. Whoo, let’s do this.
8.) J.Co Donuts
Heaven berry, choco caviar strawberry. The one in the middle, I missed the name. Dang. (Update 10/03/2017: Ahh, it’s Berry Spears. Thanks, dear reader.)
9.) Figaro Coffee Company
Sans rival + strawberry, sounds like a good combo. ^^,
10. Sweetmates Cakes
Twice in Sweetmates in three days. I was glad to see the whole ube custard cake in all its golden and purple glory.
More ube and in little cups this time.
Hello again to the mermaid smoothie that is a fusion of strawberries and blueberries, and to the fizzy lemon taking on a strawberry twist drink.
11.) Crazy Crepes
Of crepes and parfaits. Here, we have the strawberry line up (with KK donut photobombing).
12.) Coco Fresco
Coco shakes with strawberry or ube syrup. =)
13.) I Love Bubble Waffle
Flavored waffles, fun!
#EverythingsHereAtSM … especially ube and strawberry flavored treats. I’m sure what we saw on the food crawl with my foodie bloggin’ friends is just the tip of the iceberg. There are even more stores in SM that offer Baguio the greatest selections of strawberry and purple yam eatables.
#ExperienceMoreThanShopping at SM mall. They’re right with that, for there’s tons of food tripping to do here as well.
So which side are you on? Strawberry’s side or ube’s?
Both your favorites? Ah yeah!
***Thank you, SM and Ms. Geselle for inviting us to this red and purple colored event. Pretty colors, yeh! *teehee

Ay pumunta ka sa ube strawberry chef du jour ate. Bakit hindi kita nakita? huhu I like to meet you sana ate
Hello there. Oh, I wasn’t at the Chef du Jour part of the Ube x Strawberry monthlong events. The food crawl happened a week later.
I’m sure there would be many more opportunities to meet. It will happen when it will happen. *hihi Till then, I wish you a happy Baguio food adventure! (“,)
Great feature post on ube dishes and strawberry dishes, Xine. I agree with you that possibly every store that serves food in Sm has these flavors. Plus peanut brittle.
Hello, Alysa! *heehaha While we were doing the food crawl, when we passed by a certain resto, I thought, I bet there’s a strawberry and/or ube dish in there. =b
Right, peanut brittle too. Reminds me of the Baguio editions of Pancake House and Il Padrino.
Thanks for visiting Find Good Baguio Foods! Happy eatsplorations, Alysa! (“,)
Bongga ang lafangan sa SM!! Kebs ako sa strawberry or ube.
Hello there, Mario! Apologies but I don’t know what the purple yam cheesecake from Starbucks tastes like either … yet. We didn’t really eat the stuff that we took photos of in the food crawl (save for the new J.Co donut, Autumn).
I know right, pretty combo, the red of strawberry flavoring and the yellow slices of lemons. I’ll ask Sir Dean if it truly was a refreshing drink, the Sweetmates real lemon flavored strawberry. He got that in our bloggers’ night. (“,)
Thank you so much for the support! Keep on munchin’! *hihi
Anong nangyari sa foodang kung di nyo nilafang?
Hi, Mario! Maybe the models and the videographers ate it? They had to get a photo shoot with all the food so … (“,)
Though the other SM event, the FoodFest, some of the stuff we took photos of was returned to the booths. =b
There’s so many strawberry and ube flavored food in Baguio. I dont believe I ever tasted the purple yam cake at Starbucks too. I will get a slice the next time Im in SM. Thanks for the informative post.
Hello, Steph! Maybe the ube cheesecake at Starbucks is new … but I wouldn’t really know since I don’t hang out much in that coffee shop anymore. (Too many new places popping up that we have to check off *hee).
I’m glad you enjoyed this scroll happy, picture laden post. I hope the Baguio food quest is going well on your end! (“,)
The Jco donut in the middle is Berry Spears
Hello there! Thank you kindly. (“,)
Nice choice! Pero parang nakalimutan mo yung cronuts. Bandang escalator yun. Masarap talaga. Huwag lang mga corporate ang promote natin. Kahit na maliliit lalo na at Baguio small entrepreneur yun.
Hello, Danny Alejandre! It wasn’t really my/our call which food joints to go to for the Ube x Strawberry at SM City Baguio; we followed our SM host around for this one.
Good to hear though that Nathaniel’s has a wider selection of cronuts. Really, what a growth from their booth at Session Road in Bloom last year. https://www.facebook.com/FindGoodBaguioFoods/photos/a.547031178650165.121773.529065763780040/1130162340337043/?type=3&theater
As for promoting local, I do my best to feature those. If you check on the posts in this food blog, I rarely do features on big name resto brands unless they have something noteworthy on their food lists or they ask for help with getting the word out about their newest stuff.
Thanks for visiting the blog! Happy Baguio eatsplorations! (“,)
