We All Scream for ‘Strawberries and Ice Cream’!
Let’s get real, it’s not that cool in Baguio City anymore. *sigh. The -ber months are in and I still haven’t taken my trusty comforter out from storage. With this strange extension of warmer days, a great way to cool down is to eat ice cream. (Though some say that ice cream can warm you up like soup can, it can still provide for a moment’s comfort of beating the heat. =D)

Banana Split (on a plate), Mango…something, maybe craze?, Black&White, and Very Strawberry ice cream creations. (“,)
You can get the best ice cream creations and thick ice cream shakes in the city from places like Strawberries and Ice Cream. This is located at the Filling Station in Camp John Hay.
Although they just have a booth, they have many different ice cream creations to offer. They’ve got scoops of ice cream with colorful sprinkles and whipped cream on top and also, ice cream you can drink through a straw with ripples of chocolate, strawberry or mango. So many choices, it can be tough taking your pick. The first time I was at Strawberries and Ice Cream, I went for the Italian Coffee Soda.
In an effort to get wasted – Grown Ups style, I was back with my loved ones a few days later. (*light bulb over head moment) My weasel idea was that we could try more ice cream creations when there were more people around.

Ice Cream Boodle Fight!!! \m/ …in the face of a typhoon. My brother takes his mango ice cream seriously. =b
When P3+1 met up, we got our dessert from Strawberries and Ice Cream. (There wasn’t really much for dessert at Army Navy.)
Need a way to beat the -ber months heat? I scream, you scream, let’s all scream for Strawberries and Ice Cream!
X marks Strawberries and Ice Cream for deliciously fantastic ice cream creations in Baguio.
Ambiance: Strawberries and Ice Cream shares the space with other restaurants at the Filling Station. There aren’t that many seats inside but you can always pick a spot in front or at the back facing the trees.
Strawberries and Ice Cream

Baguio City, Philippines
If these ice cream creations are too fancy for you and you want to hole up with a pint or even a few liters without the sprinkles, the ripples, the cream and the strawberry on top, these are my recommendations.
Fruits in Ice Cream selections. Flavors you never even thought could be made into ice cream are available here. You can get them at Mr. Bean/Lavazza at the Mile Hi Center, Camp John Hay.
Speaking of specialized flavors, Arce Dairy also offers a wide selection of those. If you like green tea ice cream, you can get your 1.5 liter can for P280. (*tsk it used to be 1.7 liters wehhh.) (UPDATE 02-11-2013: You can buy Arce Dairy ice cream from Mother Earth, 2nd flr Midland Courier Building, Kisad Road. Luisa’s Cafe on Session Road stopped selling the stuff. Aw.) That is, if the complimentary green tea ice cream with red bean paste from Chaya is not enough for you. (More on this Japanese restaurant.)
How about Magnolia’s Perfect Combinations in bumblebee flavor? When it’s a little melted, it’s almost like the ozone drink of the same name at Future Diner. An 800 mL tub for about P120, that’s a good deal!

Good day, lesleycarter! Thank you, thank you! (“,) Come, let’s have some ice cream. Have a fantastic week!
Hi, Xine where can I buy Arce Dairy? Thank you 🙂
Hello! Arce Dairy ice cream is sold in Mother Earth. Their store’s on the second floor of the Midland Courier Building, Kisad Road (Beside City Travel Hotel). Thanks for the question, compelled me to insert an update in this post. Have a great new week! (“,)
Is there any place closer to town selling this? Thanks again. Have a great week too. 🙂
So far, Mother Earth is the only place. They did sell some flavors at Luisa’s Cafe on Session Road but when I went to buy from there recently and they said their dealer stopped delivering to them. It’s worth the walk to Mother Earth, they’ve got more flavors and other amusing and interesting stuff you might like. *hihi
