Dulcinea, I Taste Heaven…♪
Going musical/broadway today, we find the Man of La Mancha describing Dulcinea with every sense but taste (almost; he didn’t smell her either =b). It’s only right considering; Dulcinea (really Aldonza) is a person. *hee Having said/sung that he sees heaven when he sees his Dulcinea, there’s a little bit of heaven (specifically, Spanish food heaven) to taste eating at Dulcinea at the Chalet (Hotel) Baguio.
Walking into Chalet, the first thing one will notice is the wall decor/lights. I couldn’t stop looking at it. *hihi (Oh, like a moth to a flame… ZAP! =)))
Dulcinea is right at the Chalet lobby, sharing the space with the hotel front desk.
And for appetizers, champinones al ajillo.
Moving on with the starters…a salad.
Then the main course:

Pollo rollo – chicken fillet filled with cheese, ham and sausage. Ohh, look at that, sliced! Doesn’t that look nice? \m/

Callos a la madrilena – Spanish casserole of ox tripe, pork and sausages. Eeeiiii, look at that ‘tuwalya’/towel looking tripe sticking out from the sauce! =)
Potajes , pescados y mariscos, and pollo dishes are all served with rice and soup – simple soup (pop that Knorr cube into boiling water type of soup =D) with chopped onions.
Funny thing happened with this drink. Poured from the pitcher, it tasted like mango to my neice, banana to my brother, papaya to me and melon to Race. Only my sister tasted every fruit in her glass. Un-furrrr! =b … on another note, was there melon in the mix? Race was hallucinating. *hihi
A lot of people swear by this Dulcinea dessert but it was just okay with me. I might have needed to savor it more but anyway. Diversity in personalities and tastes is what makes the world interesting. (Good thing, we have the freedom to do what makes us happy – to a point. No imposition, yey, world! \m/)
X marks Dulcinea for good (Spanish) food in Baguio. Ready for a little taste of heaven from Spanish food?

Mantelpiece decor… ♪ Dulcinea, I see heaven when I see thee, Dulcinea ♪
Ambiance: With a wider floor space, that would be a different rating. ^^,
Price: The serving proportions are a bit small, too.
