Keep Calm and Eat Ramen Nagi Universal Noodle
So a well known restaurant serving Japanese greats has found its way to the City of Pines.
Before they actually join the diner dash hustle and bustle of food establishments in food trip city, they invited Race, a couple of my foodie blogging friendships, and me to their pre-opening party. =) With most of us initiates to this ramen house’s offering, we were all game for a sneak peek.
As we entered the restaurant, the staff greeted us in unison and seated us at the table of our choosing. (Interesting, the chairs have baskets under them so you can stuff your things there and you won’t have to worry about them as you concentrate on your food. Nice!)
While we took a little look see of the menu, our attendant helped us personalize our orders as to how we would like our ramen bowls to be. e.g. How spicy did we want it, how thick should the soup be, do you like soft noodles, would you like extra toppings, etc. (Shoutout to Sir Dha-dha!)
In the picture book-like menu, we saw they also have side dishes, desserts such as vanilla ice cream that comes with two liquor squirts you can mix into it (Brings to mind Ms. C’s ice cream with amaretto *heehaha), and drinks like Asahi, Sapporo, and Kirin beers. (Apologies, I don’t have the menu here. Naunahan ng hiya again =b and the attendants were eager founts of info anyway so. You can also check the order slip above, there are prices included.) (UPDATE 03/14/2019: I have their menu now.)
While our orders were being prepared, we explored what was in their condiments tray. The two jars in the back have pickled little things (bean sprouts or something or other. I don’t know what the other one was; looked like strips of leaves a la pajori. Yeah, I just popped some in my mouth to have a taste. =)) ) There’s chili powder, a mixture to up the noodle’s salty flavor if we ever need it and … get this … sesame seeds.
Who’s a happy camper? Me! But of course, I worked the sesame seed grinder/dispenser. Extra nutty flavor for your noodle bowl? Why, yes, please. =D

For breaks in noodle sipping: Other munchables at Ramen Nagi (gyoza, Nagi star salad, chicken karaage) ^^,
Ramen Nagi noodle bowls are big enough that the serving could be good for two. Just in case you feel the taste of your meal is getting monotonous, there’s other foodstuff we can get our chompers on at this resto. (“,)
Gyoza – delicate pockets full of minced greens … for the most part. Nagi star salad – a refreshing bite of crunchy cabbage strips and Kewpie and a soy sauce looking dressing. Chicken karaage – ginger marinade perfectly seeped into the meat, it’s like eating a piece of chicken in pinikpikan. Nyum!
If you happen to have picked out the colored universal noodles bowl, the kind that will splish-splash on you as you sip individual noodles from end to end, Ramen Nagi also has bibs. Since Sir Dean’s shirt isn’t black (like Race’s ‘uniform’), and he’s about to attack the red king, here’s his armor. Ready, fight! *hihi

Foodie blogging friends at Ramen Nagi. (Find and say Hello Relyn to Relyn, eatsplorers.) (Farthest in the middle is Chiki, Turista Boy.) =D
So what are the fantastic four of noodle selections at Ramen Nagi? The classic fave, butao king, is what Queen Ane and I got. The boys at our table, Race and Sir Dean ganged up on the red king. You know what that is; red for spice-h.
I was kind of torn if I would get something other than their first best seller but I needed a base, so it was Sam who went for the green king which sounds to me like the goddess ramen of this joint. *tee hee With cheese and pesto, it’s ramyon with an Italian twist. The black king, I got a glimpse of it at the other table, King Omeng’s order is black because of its squid ink base.
So goes my favorite ramen story. Now that we have our very own #FavoriteRamen from the Ramen Nagi offering (and we know better how to customize our bowls, too. Heads up, guys: Theirs is a mighty tasty yummy broth, so you can say it can get pretty intense if we have a heavy type of soup), I’m here to announce that you can also start picking out your favorite (or be reunited with your Ramen Nagi pick) tomorrow, July 27, 2017, when this newest restaurant in Baguio will be officially opening its doors to the dining public. ^^,
What timing, we have ourselves a gloomy day courtesy of tropical depression Gorio. Let’s keep calm and eat ramen. Whoo-zah!

Ramen Nagi Baguio opening tomorrow!! As soon as I come to Baguio, Im going to get a Level 5 spicy Red King. It’s the perfect match to gyoza you know. Are they going to have cheesy caldereta king there too? That’s another great king.
Hello, Will! Level 5 spice Ramen Nagi red king with gyoza, i’ll try that sometime. *hihi This event is my first Ramen Nagi experience, you see.
I’m not sure if they’re going to have cheesy caldereta king. Fingers crossed they do. That limited king sounds might scrumptious.
Thank you so much for visiting and for leaving your favorite ramen story. Till you visit Ramen Nagi Baguio, happy eatsplorations wherever you are! (“,)
Hello there, Mario! *heehaha this is a pretty eventful month.
Ohh, you like Ramen Nagi’s black king too. Now, I’m really curious about that. The ‘goddess ramen’ line is from The Ramen Girl movie with Brittany Murphy, if you haven’t seen that yet. =D
I’ll leave you to catch up with your reading. Thank you so very much! (“,)
My Ramen Nagi favorite ramen is the classic. Butao with extra tamago and soft noodles
Hello! That’s what I got, though not soft noodles. It is pretty good, so much so, I wanted more soup.
Thanks for dropping by and telling me about your Ramen Nagi #favoriteramen. Happy reunion with butao king! (“,)
its good they allow their customers to customize their ramen in Ramen Nagi. Extra shoulder pork for me.
Hello again, Pauline B.! I know right. That was a fun part of the meal. I got shoulder pork for my Ramen Nagi butao too. Nyum.
I hope you have more favorite ramen stories at Baguio’s very own Ramen Nagi! Thanks for visiting Find Good Baguio Foods! (“,)

I love Ramen Nagi! ❤ ❤ but no spice. hahaha
Hello! I took a chance and tried level 1 spicy for my original king butao and it was manageable. Race got level 10 spice for his red king. I took a sip of that and surprisingly, i was okay … but that was just a sip so. *hihi
Thanks for visiting. Enjoy Baguio Ramen Nagi! (“,)
Ramen weather. Ramen Nagi im on my way
Hi! Most definitely. \m/ Heard tropical depression Gorio is staying in PAR till Saturday so a Ramen Nagi weekend looks to be in order. =b
Happy beating the cold and the gloomy weather at Baguio City’s Ramen Nagi! (“,)
410 mga ramen dyan?! Ang mahal
Hi. It is a tad pricey though the bowls were big enough for sharing. Race and I are already planning how we could fit the other Ramen Nagi stuff we’d like to try on another visit. This could also work like a milestone resto for you, if ever, only on a special occasion, something like that.
Hope this helps. I hope you enjoy your meal when you do dine at Ramen Nagi. (“,)
Great post a usual. Nice of Ramen Nagi to give you a sneak preview of their store and the food they have there. Is there meat in the noodles in Race and your freinds orders? I only see meat in the butao in your collage. Tnx for your very informative blog.
Hello, Alysa! It was really nice of the Ramen Nagi team to call us and media over. Plus, we did have a blast at the preopening event. *hihi
Oh, everyone had meat in their choice of universal noodles I think. They might have gone with the pork belly so it’s chunks underneath all those toppings. Mine is shoulder pork that’s why it’s peeking out from the soup like that.
You’re welcome. Thank YOU for visiting Find Good Baguio Foods! Happy dining at Ramen Nagi Baguio branch! (“,)
Tama ka gloomy and rainy perfect day for good ramen nagi.
Hello there! Weather watcher/stalker here =)) I hope you have a blast at Ramen Nagi Baguio! (“,)
