Raising Roadhouse Barn Restaurant (“,)
Well, the barn has already been raised when we came around. *hihi
So, I guess, Baguio food quester would have to do as my role in this Roadhouse Barn raising. \m/ You know the drill: I’ll give some of their dishes a taste and give the place what little boost I can based on that experience using this post. (Thank you, Kuya Matt for giving us the heads up that Roadhouse already opened its barn doors to the public.)
I won’t let you hold your breath for the verdict, my foodie friend. Plain and simple, it WAS a wonderful experience. From the interesting interior (as drab a building Albergo from the outside is =b) … (Thank you, Queen Ane, for giving us a sneak peek of the dining area with the EatsOA family having lunch there.)
… to the dishes that they serve, X+1 can say with loud and resounding voices that we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner there. (“,)
When we sat down and examined the menu, I was torn between the beef Stroganoff and the steak, that was looking all proper (an inch thick, it looked like; which I learned was the best slice =D) in its photo there.

The thought of the creamy sauce of Stroganov won me over, however, and M-A-A-A-N, was that an incredible plate! Tender slices of beef tossed with toasted-on-the-edges and still-juicy mushrooms drenched in that gravy, my taste buds started to have their own little party in this tavern-like establishment. With extras of sauces at P15, I had a mind to get some for rice topping/sabaw the next day. *heehaha
Not to mention the salad side with the always-a-winner sesame dressing. (I was suddenly reminded to stock up on this other Japanese Kewpie great, for Asian ‘summer’ salads at home. I digress. ^^, ) As for Race’s half chicken, he went wow with the first bite of the skin made tasty with an herb rub. While that flavor didn’t seep into the chicken much, it was nothing the delicious gravy couldn’t handle. All this, he washed down with Cerveza Negra. A mighty content food tester, we have here.
We left with clean plates; mine with every bit of sauce wiped off with half of Race’s baked potato; his, piled with meatless bones.
