#CravingSatisfied at the Newest Pancake House Branch in Baguio
That’s a total of three Pancake Houses in Baguio to date. No complaints here since I think this is one fine restaurant brand.

Enter, Pancake House’s newest branch in Baguio … out with the movie posters, in with the new more homey design.
From the moment my friends and I got the invite to attend the SM branch’s pre-opening party, we were made to feel real special by the Pancake House people. \m/ Walking through the door with a sign “Private Function” tacked on it, Maam Marielle quickly made a beeline for us to give us a warm welcome.
After getting us seated, we were told to pick whatever we fancied for lunch from the menu. What a feat that was, choosing from the pages of scrumptious dishes. Shyeew!

Coffee (being mixed by my better half), tea, or four seasons, or houseblend iced tea … and many more refreshments. \m/
Back of our minds, we were thinking if we should stick to faves or try something new. We did a bit of both, with some help from Maam April. (Big hugs, you! =D)
Starting us off with cups of warm drinks, we finally picked out my favorite salad, the Asian fusion, Thai-like shrimp and mango salad; and main courses of adobo sulipan and hot roast beef.

Main courses on our table as soon as we were complete: My hot roast beef order, Race’s adobo sulipan, Lucas’ classic pan chicken, and Sir King Omeng‘s special salisbury steak. =)
While truly an exciting twist to the Pinoy comfort dish adobo, I didn’t really get that many spoonfuls of Race’s meal since I was busy with my own. =b

Hobnobbing with Pancake House higher ups. Maam Marielle, Maam April and Maam Grace, it was such a pleasure to meet you, all!
The slice of bread under the roast beef in my plate is probably the thickest I’ve ever seen in my life. *hee A little slice from that with a shaving of the meat swiped on the gravy was great. If I ever felt umay, I just dipped some lettuce in its zingy honey-thick clear vinaigrette … or the extra bowl of sweet and spicy golden mist dressing used for the shrimp-mango salad the staff eagerly gave me.
Not feeling like eating an entree with rice or bread? They’ve got pastas here, too. From this category, I found another favorite in seafood gambero. (Whoa, the size of that New Zealand mussel on top!) How it made an impression on me with just a strand of tagliatelle from Sam’s plate. *hihi

Family/friends/food blogger fun (there we go again with the F words =b) under the Pancake House roof. (Note: A weasel move to win at Tic-tac-toe *heehaha)
Comfortable and at home in this gathering in the “house” with my blogging friends, the conversation and laughs at our table was as plentiful as the spread. (“,)

The “headmaster of Your Place”. I’m saying that with What We Did on Our Holiday lil’ girl Jess’ accent and tone =))
A visit to this food establishment, however, wouldn’t be complete without a plate (or two) of pancakes (and/or waffles). Just when we thought lunchtime had come to an end, we were offered to try some pancakes. Race thoroughly enjoyed his fluffy light hotcakes with choco chips and a nutty creamy syrupy topping. Again, I was greatly amused with Samantha’s choice, the peach waffles that had peach flavored syrup to match. =)

Two plates of choco chip pancakes, one for Queen Ane and one for Race; Sam’s peach waffles, Chakai’s caramel banana walnut pancakes.
It seems we had something from every flavor spectrum at this celebration. You’d think we’d consider the plate of pancakes (and waffles for SJ) as dessert but we turned green with envy when a banana split was brought to Sir Dean‘s table. (Long time, no see, Sir!) After finishing off this boat shaped dish of richness, we couldn’t ask for anything more. ^^,
What did I say about this fastfood chain before? They offer a smorgasbord of yummy stuff. Getting that is easier now that they have a branch in town and they’re open as early as 7:00 a.m., in SM, upper ground floor, front veranda beside Yellow Cab.
Whatever you desire in the way of good food in Baguio City, Pancake House is sure to satisfy. So, afoodionado, got cravings? You know where to go.
#CravingSatisfied twice over, thank you everyone at Pancake House SM for having us and indulging us. Congratulations and more power!

Feeling even more special with this parting gift bag of stuff … With the kind of rain we’ve been having in this, one of the rainiest places in the world (according to this or that source *snickers), that umbrella’s going to come in real handy. So thoughtful, Pancake House, I really appreciate it.
