Baguio Food Tour Thru Menus part 2
Here we are again. ♫ ♪
Because neither monsoon, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of content scrapers & thieves =b … will stop us from going out and satisfying our palates at eating spots that’s been popping up in the City of Pines recently. So for you, nice eatsplorers out there (for the new week or for the long weekend), we’re going on another quick gastronomic expedition of newly opened places where to eat in Baguio, with a sprinkling of old faves with menu updates.
Newly Checked Off in Food Trip City Baguio City
1.) 27 Sandwich
Quick bite to eat before (or even after) a trip? Come on down to 27 Sandwich. Sturdy bread with a variety of choices for palaman makes for a beautiful filling sub sandwich at this joint. =)
2.) Firewood Pizzeria
A new Italian place for stuff like wood fire brick oven pizzas, right next to Gerry’s and Ramen Sora when you’re feeling like going Mediterranean for lunch or dinner. In my hand now is one of the leftover slices of the house specialty pizza. Y-U-M, the sauce that tastes like sun dried tomatoes and flavorful sausage slices. \m/
3.) La Casita de A La Carte fine dining restaurant at Heritage Mansion
If the buffet offering at this accommodations won’t do for you on a particular day (you’re probably in a bit of a rush/you don’t want to indulge and eat heavy/you’re not into going bonkers which dish to try first from such a huge selection … whatever floats your boat really), their a la carte fine dining resto just might suit your needs.
(I’m excited to return for their appetizer gambas … and the hanging tenders … and the dessert sampler.)
4.) Leaven Cafe
A small branch of La Comida. They also have little buffet offerings on specific days; when we were there, their dynabunch all day buffet was ongoing – Mexican snackage for P135.
5.) Pre-Tea Belle’s Cafe and Restaurant
More sub type sandwiches … in these ones, they’re oozing with savory sauce. *nomnomnom Oh and you might not want to miss out on their equally saucy wedge potatoes for mains … err, sides, while you’re there.
6.) Rise and Brew Coffeehouse
Good simple breakfast meals, we had here. I still want to try their burger on one of Baguio’s sunnier days. The space is a tad un-weather proof here, especially if the rain goes whoosh-whoosh. With a line of sight at the gate, this is another vantage point for amusing taxi name spotting. Got to see Calines (we’re reading it as ka-li-nes) here … what X+1 is getting a laugh over as the taxi version of the Super Li-nes bus. =))
7.) Sessions Gallery
I still have to try stuff from the meals menu as I’ve recently focused on their drinks (matcha green blended, FTW!) and of course, Kharis wonderful slices of desserts. There might be days that the kitchen is closed, so you might like to give them a heads up if you’re coming (especially in huge battalions of famished people *hee).
8.) Studio Coffee House
In our first visit here, we went for the whipped cream loaded fruit smoothies, burger, and fish and (nacho) chips. They were a-okay but we’re eager to come back for their vast selection of ulam (beef ampalaya, Studio dream pork chop, beef caldereta, and many more). Oh, how we looked enviously at the other tables around us with people happily eating these “more substantial” selections. ^^,
9.) Vanilla Cupcake Bakery at Kamiseta Hotel
A BEEE-U-tiful, whimsical cafe in another one of the houses I used to ogle when I went off to academy work. (To be honest, Race was kind of stunned for a few minutes after we walked through the door. Like he was transported into the mind of the Mad Hatter, he described it. The scene here sure shook him to his long-hair-uniform-black-shirt-daily-rocker core. *heehaha)
I didn’t expect them to have savory stuff on their menu and how I thanked the heavens for this offering in conjunction with sweet delights, the pretty cupcakes, GALORE!
(NOTE: Kamiseta Boutique Hotel, SOON to OPEN.)
Updated Menus
1.) Garahe weekend restaurant/cafe
More than laksa and Greek yogurt ice cream bars, there’s more to keep us coming back, weekend after weekend. (But you can still go for the laksa and the Greek yogurt bars every weekend if those are your faves … Jo does. *teehee)
2.) Mikko’s Kitchenette
Still the good ole selection for going pancit crazy, This is mainly so you’re guided accordingly about the new prices, my foodie friends.
Eatsploring La Trinidad
Gasats Restocafe
Looking for a change of scenery but not ready to go too far for a food adventure? We’ll always have our welcoming neighbor, La Trinidad. (“,) With a nice huge dining area (that also works as a great venue for special occasions) and a fantastic view overlooking the municipality to boot, you’ll feel like lord of the manor, a vast manor, while enjoying your … herbed rub gallus, for example. (Race relished in that dish.)
That’s all I have for now, guys. Do pardon some of the blurred photos. Our autofocus has long since given out on us and I am a little bit blind to realize that some photos have come out hazy. It’s only when they’re already on a bigger screen that I go, “My gallbladder! It’s not clear!” You can always send me a message to clear up some detail or other – for the locations of these places maybe. =D Happy Baguio food trails!

Bet ko yung mirror surrounded with gold dyan sa vanilla cupcake bakery. Saan yan, Xine? At wala na ulit ang diet ko kasi sa post ng new Baguio restaurants na ito. haha
Hello, Mario! Probably one of the grandest mirrors I’ve seen. Vanilla Cupcake Bakery is located at #23 Villamor St. Barangay Lualhati, inside Kamiseta Hotel. It’s right beside Little Flower Convent.
I don’t refer to Baguio City as a food trip city for nothing. Dieting will surely be ruined here. *heehaha
First to comment palagi, Mario! Thank you so much for the support! (“,)
So many restaurants in Baguio. Thank you for telling us about the newly opened eating places. We always eat some place new when I found your blog page. I love Find Good Baguio Foods. ❤ Your the best!!!!
Hi, Lina! Looking at our Baguio restaurant list, we could eat somewhere different everyday for a year … maybe even a year and a half. I’m glad to hear you’re having a ball eating around the City of Pines.
Thank you for following Find Good Baguio Foods! I hope you have a great experience in all the places you visit and that you think all the restaurants you go to deserve a ton of treasure chests. (“,)
Amare rin ba yung Firewood Pizzeria?? Tnx
Hello! Firewood Pizzeria and Amare La Cucina are different food brands. They just have brick ovens as a similarity … Oh, some sameness with the cartoon-y brick oven logo too. Hope this helps. (“,)
Thanks
You’re welcome! Happy eatsploring! (“,)
Hi, Xine. I keep hearing about Studio Coffee house. Where is that located? How about Rise and Brew and Pretea Belles? Thank you for this exciting post. You never cease to amaze in your Baguio restaurant finds. Thanks very much for telling us about them.
Hello there, Candy! Appreciation for the effort of finding new places to eat in Baguio, much appreciated! Nice foodies like you are always welcome to the info I have on this blog.
Studio Cafe is at Notre Dame, the building across from Saint Louis Laboratory. Rise & Brew Cafe is on Bokawkan Road across from Monro. Pre-Tea Belle’s is on Trancoville … a short distance after the road going up to Malvar before th white apartment with blue tinted windows.
I hope you have a wonderful time dining at these restos! Thank you so much for the support! (“,)
This blog and your posts especially about menus are so overwhelming. There are really so many restaurants in Baguio.
Can I ask you where I can find 27 Sandwich, Pre-Tea Bell, Vanilla Cupcake Bakery and also Gasats?
Ang galing galing.finding new places for us to eat here in Baguio, Find Good Baguio Foods. Thanks!
Hi, Stellah! I know right, it’s a mouthful (eating as well as when I eventually get to write a feature about them). *hihi
27 Sandwich is on Upper Session road, the building beside Nardas (used to be the Genesis Joy Bus parking). Pre-Tea Belle’s s ion Trancoville, a short distance after the road going up to Malvar before th white apartment with blue tinted windows. Vanilla Cupcake Bakery is at #23 Villamor Street, Barangay Lualhati, inside Kamiseta Hotel, beside Little Flower Convent. As for Gasats restocafe, their address is MB219 Puguis, La Trinidad.
