Intermission – CONTENT SCRAPED (and I want to tear that scraper’s hair out)

We all know how it goes, that saying about imitation.

I’ll tell you this, I’m NOT flattered. I’m flabbergasted, to the point that I forgot everything I had to say for today’s blog post.  (What Baguio restaurant was I going to feature again? *huh Did you say something? *dazed)

Good search results 2013/11/03

It didn’t really register that that was a different URL under the title of my, (let me say that again =b) MY blog post.  I was thinking too, it might be some website that gives information on the reputation of other websites.  So I clicked on it to see what dirt they’ve got on findgoodbaguiofoods.com and lo and behold …

It’s a different site altogether, BUT …

Travel and resting ... the site that is scraping X Marks the Spot for Good Baguio Foods' content

Ahey, the post is exactly the way I laid it out (as I scrolled down further – title, content, photos with MY watermark. YES, even Race’s grilling photo is there.)  Click here for MY Wellbeing Ssambap post.

No trackbacks to my blog, hhmmm.  I didn’t get emails or comments asking permission to reblog, double hhmmm.  The site I was looking at on my screen was just like a post by any blogger. It felt so surreal. (OMG, I’m in Bizzaro World where I’m a reader of the posts I made in this world. Arg, that feeling like all effort – photographing dishes before we eat, editing and putting these photos into collages and thinking about how to go about a blogpost – was for nothing)

A little more investigation was in order. I did a search for ‘Xine’ on this scaper of a site’s search bar and this is one of the pages that came out.

Search results at Travel and Resting

MY Beggang Resto Grill blog post. MY Pancake House blog post. I wonder from whose site the other blog post is. =S Content scraper, strikes again!

There were pages of blogs and I saw something like 10 of my post titles.  I ran search on Google for the other blog titles on the search results that I wasn’t familiar with, too and I found duplicate copies (which I assume are the originals) from other blogs.

Luckily, I have so many people who’ve got my back. ^^, It’s Queen Ane and Sam to the rescue with advice about what to do. (Xine, who only knows how to post would be lost without you. *heehaha) (You, my dear readers deserve a thank you too. Thanks for cheering me up with your messages and comments! You guys rock! \m/)

With reports sent to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/dmca-notice?pli=1& and  http://www.google.com/dmca.html. I’ll be taking a watch and wait stance until Google takes down the sottocopier’s blog.  For my foodie friends, please make sure it’s ‘findgoodbaguiofoods.com‘ before clicking (because travel and resting … with scraping, I do not do *hee).

(Like Highlander) There can only be one Xine (“,)

… and that applies to everyone who’s got intellectual property out there, there can only be one = theirs. Bawal mangopya/No copying! (without express and written permission from the blog’s author and/or owner … and all that jazz, see photo below.)
