Baked Treats: Turning Regular Days into Holidays
Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, baker’s man. Bake me a cake as fast as you can.
Because there’s nothing like sweets like cake to turn a regular day into a holiday, a bummer day into a celebratory one. \m/ (Read: Stress eating *tahahaha)
(I was going to feature five home bakers whose main offering are cakes here but one was quite challenging to pin down based on my foodie friend’s experience. She tried to order some of their interesting desserts for us to snack on at a powwow but they kept flaking on her. Yep, the baker is also a flaker. *sniff No worries though, I’ll throw in another baked treat maker that did well as a pick-me-up for us.)
If you want to make an instant happy day at home (or anywhere), this is where you might want to get some sweet delights. =D
1.) Waistline Luxuries
While her pretty pretty fondant cake making is put on hold, Shirley does have a wide range of delightful desserts that you could choose from like rum cake (our favorite ❤ This is where all the rum went, Captain Jack Sparrow =)) ) , pies (peach mango and black forest), as well as cakes I haven’t had the pleasure of getting my chompers around before.

Blueberry-lemon-lavender-quilled fondant cake. Boy, am I glad I got to try this before production was put on hold. *teehee
2.) Cassandro’s Catering & Cakery Co.
Whoa, how I got dizzy with the scrumptious selections of party eats as well as saccharine meal enders by Chef CJ.
The two that called loudly enough for me to place an order for: Apple caramel cheesecake (my kind of an apple a day keeps the doctor away =b) and rainbow cake surprise … out tumble tangy Skittles once a slice is taken away. Wee!

3. The Cookie Lab
A dozen cookies for P170 and they’re packed and loaded. ^^, Those with oatmeal are reminiscent of granola bars, only round shaped. Our favorites from this order: Matcha and the ‘cookie in a cookie’, cookieception cookie. (Shyeew, that’s a lot of cookies. *hee)

Classic chocolate chip cookie, chunky matcha cookie, raisin oatmeal cookie, choco chip oatmeal cookie, and cookie ception got us going *nomnomnom like Cookie Monster

4.) Janna Bakes
Eye candy creations as well as a treat for the tastebuds: A simple vanilla cake with strawberry coulis in between the cakebread made fab with unicorn color scheme rosette icing. (“,)
A chocolatey good luxurious cake. Until now, I’m still so amused with the look of that black fondant (Probably the “darkest” cake I’ve seen and tasted in my life so far. *hihi) and the hand painted flowery decor with matching edible beads. (Acting as moving out cakes, these definitely eased my sorrows.)

5.) Bow and Whiskers Cafe
Their chocolate strawberry supreme cake is another work of art, not just for the eyes, but also the palate as it was a perfectly flavored cake. (I so love that it is the perfect size and perfect height too.) As soon as we opened the box, the smell of strawberries eagerly met our noses. What’s more, that flavor really got infused into the pink icing. And get a load of that graceful (dark) chocolate drip. =)

(Please do get in touch with the masters of these yummy delights through the numbers/email addresses/Facebook pages provided, they’ve got so much more on their product lists. These are just the stuff that I’ve tried so far and I can’t wait to expand my chomping experience with their creations. *hihi)

Hello there, Mario! Definitely went way past my quota for baked treats since I wanted to stress eat and we couldn’t go out due to renovations in the house. *hihi So right, my foodie friend did get super stressed with the run around from flaker baker.
Yes a pretty pride cake … I like it that it’s all white like it’s just a plain cake but sliced, bam, rainbow! \m/
I hope you enjoy the baked treats you order from any of these home bakers. Thanks for always checking in to Find Good Baguio Foods! (“,)
Pati pala local bakers sinusulat mo iha. May nagbabake ba ng masarap na black forest cake na local baker?
Hello there, Adel! Anything and everything munchable I come across that I loved. When it comes to black forest cakes, I love the one made by The Ganache.https://findgoodbaguiofoods.com/2013/11/27/baked-treats-for-the-holidays/ I hope this helps! Thanks for visiting Find Good Baguio Foods! (“,)

Hello, DAN! I know right. Ahh, suddenly I miss that. An order is in order. *hihi Thank you for dropping by this Baguio food blog! (“,)
Oh there is a Janna that bakes. Thats nice to hear because I’ma Janna that doesn’t bake. Which of the two Janna Bakes cakes did you like best? I may just order from Janna for a party. I can say Janna baked this. 😉 Cheers!
Hello, Janna! *heehaha nice one. Of the two Janna Bakes cakes, I think I’ll pick the moist choco fondant one. It was really moist and chocolatey. Topped with just a thin layer of fondant, (if you look at the cross section photo) underneath that was chocolate. Nyum. I hope everybody loves the cake that Janna baked. =b
Thank you so much for visiting the food blog and leaving a comment. Happy eatsploring! (“,)
How are the prices of cakes from Bow and Whiskers and everybody else? I’m shopping for my son’s birthday party coming in a few months. Thank you.
Hello, Queen Ara! I only remember the prices of the most recent orders I made. *hihi Bow and Whiskers choco strawberry supreme cake is P600. Janna Bakes, I spent more than a thousand for both.
As for the Cassandro’s and Waistline Luxuries baked treats, I just remember the taste not the price *hee. Please feel free to visit their the pages provided on the post to inquire direct from them.
I hope you find the perfect cake for your son’s birthday. Thanks for reading this blogpost and leaving a comment. Happy Baguio food adventures! (“,)
