An Intro to Ifugao Through Their Native Food Products
Slight change of venue, afoodionados …

Avong nen Romy \m/
As we meet a couple of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from Ifugao, halfway in La Trinidad, at a DTI Ifugao first – a food tasting event showcasing a couple treats that can be had when you’re in Ifugao (“,) … But fret not, as I will also provide the MSMEs’ contact details here so we can place our orders and in the process, help them break out in the national market.
1.) Wines and Spirits
(Fun way to start an event, ei? With spiked libations. We didn’t even get our seats warm yet and we’re getting in the shots. *teeheeheehee)
Os-os Farm Products tapuy and ginger ale
Dr. Gemma A. Dimog – Agribusiness Manager
0905 767 2439
2.) Kiangan Ifugao Pinunnog
(How about some pulutan with that? And these sausages do pack it all in. Full of meat pieces, one can easily forget it’s named as a blood sausage. =D That’s the Ifugao style, we’re told. I understand that Anidu Cordilleran Bistro gets their pinuneg from Ms. Florence. It’s on the menu as a pinunug breakfast meal. Aha, that explains it. We did have that when we visited this resto and Race was saying how it was like kiniing made into a sausage.)

3.) Condiments and Sauces
(Just in case you want to add a little kick to your meal. Brace yourself for the heat!)
Os-os Farm Products chili garlic

Sherlene’s Enterprises garlic sauce and chili sauce
Ms. Sherlene
0936 401 0858
(And boy, do they mean business with these -Os-os chili garlic and Sherlene’s sauces. We got to take home Ms. Sherlene’s “bravery elixirs” and looks like it’s going to last us a long, long, looong time because even the sili lovers in our house can just take a few drops of the potent, potent oil per meal. “Met you your match.” ~ Oracle, The 13th Warrior =b)
4.) Chips
(Dessert/snack anyone? *crunch crunch)
Annie Jean Food Products: Taro chips, fried camote chips and potato chips
Ms. Annie Jean
0935 720 0459
5.) Coffee
(Would you like something to drink with that? ^^, Though Ifugao is known for their Robusta beans, they’re trying to up their game by creating a wide variety of bean mixes to make some of the most aromatic and intense flavor coffee.\m/)

I mentioned at the beginning of this post, the wines, the chili sauces, the chips and the coffee can easily be yours when you’re in Ifugao. If you contact the numbers provided under each MSME name though, you can always bring the best of Ifugao to your home, or to your resto/cafe.
UPDATE 07/12/2019: Most of these products are now available at Baguio’s OTOP (One Town, One Product) Hub/Pasalubong Center, along with traditional handicrafts, located at Upper Session Road, DPS Compound, a few steps from Mario’s.
Just like any trip we’ve taken, there’s pasalubong. Weee! Thank you so much to all who participated at the DTI event for the parting gifts. I have something to share with my foodie lovies so they’d get a taste of Ifugao (even before we actually physically visit) as well. Can’t wait to actually be in Ifugao one of these days. We’re so grateful you came to La Trinidad to show us your products. More power to you all!
***Thank you, Sir Raffel for inviting X+1 to Avong nen Romy to partake in this fun (and tastebud opening *hihi) foodievent.

It is very good that DTI Ifugao sponsors events like this to give exposure to MSMEs. IT’s also very good they thought of hosting the event in Baguio and La Trinidad and inviting people like you.
Hello, Tess! So honored really to witness DTI Ifugao’s first of events like these putting the spotlight on MSMEs and their fabulous products. At the moment, I’m still thinking of those scrumptious eats and drinks like the Os-os ginger ale, Ms. Tillay’s blood sausage. (Race is taking things slowly with the coffee parting gifts, making them last the longest time possible. *hihi)
Happy you enjoyed this Ifugao food products feature! I hope you’re having a great food adventure! (“,)
It looks like DTI Ifugao planned a great foodievent. I can’t live without coffee and I think I will give the Ifugao coffees a try. The ones avaialble here already. Kels and Ifugao Kape. Tnx for your very informative blog
Hello there, Alysa! Yes, it really was one of those memorable foodievents. Ah, you’re a coffee lover! I hope you enjoy Kels Kofi and Ifugao Kape!
Thank you so much for the support! (“,) All the best for your food quest and coffee quest! *hihi
I’m very intrigued with Avong nen Romy the venue for the event. Where in La Trinidad, Xine? It is funny that you started the event with shots of tapuy and ginger ale. So which of the two did you like best? 🙂
Hello, Candy! Main landmark to Avong nen Romy is Pyramid Memorial Park in Wangal. From there, you take main road going straight. Avong nen Romy signs abound to guide you.
As for the shots we got to start the DTI Ifugao event with, my vote goes to Os-os Farm Products’ ginger ale with lemon grass.
Thanks for reading this feature on some of Ifugao’s product offering. Happy Baguio food tripping! (“,)
They dont sell their products in Baguio yet? How will they send order to me if I order?
Hello, Jeanette! The MSME guests from Ifugao did say they could use their bus lines to get our orders here. I’m sure we could iron out the kinks conversing with whoever we place our orders from. Hope this helps.
Thanks for visiting Find Good Baguio foods! Happy eatsplorations! (“,)
Many coffee products from Ifugao. Which has the strongest flavor? I like strong coffee.
Hello there, DAN! Out of the Ifugao coffees we tried shots off at the DTI Ifugao sponsored event, Race says, the Hojap Kesi’Melan coffees had the strongest flavor.
Thanks for dropping by! I hope you enjoy your coffee order! (“,) (Also, fingers crossed, they start selling here so their products are even more accessible *hihi)
Hi Xine…thanks for the very good review. Those products you featured are now available at the OTOP Hub located at Cordillera Craft and Productivity Center, DPS Compound, Upper Session Road, BC.
As for the Pinunnog, those are pure meat, not blood. Smoked sausage 😊
Hello there, Heidi! Thank you so much for the heads up about the products being available at OTOP Hub now. I’m so happy, they’re even easier to get now.
Ahh, Ms. Florence’s version of pinunnog is pretty meaty … yes, pure meat (as I’ve dissected when I ate it again at Anidu https://findgoodbaguiofoods.com/2019/06/05/quick-catch-up-on-the-baguio-food-adventure/2019-05-29-baguio-anidu-cordilleran-bistro-1/) , in comparison to the pinuneg-s I’ve tried in places like Cafe Yagam and Farmer’s Daughter. Thanks for the additional info on that as well. I’m ever so grateful. (“,)
Wow Ate…Ngayon ko lang nahanap and nabasa to…Thanks soooo much for the feature of Ifugao Products (especially our very own: Kels Kofi)…Cheers!
Hello there, Waylon Ralph Aclibon! I hope you’re doing great! i hope this post gets the word out even more about Kels Kofi and Ifugao products! Hooray, you also distribute your delicious coffee in different hubs in the country. Thank you so much! More power to you all! (“,)
