Notable Edibles #19 – Aunt Hazel’s Kitchen Lemon Meringue Pie & Menu/Food Crawling the Newest Places to Eat in Baguio
But first,
… let’s talk about the lemon meringue pie (slice) from “online store”, Aunt Hazel’s Kitchen, notable edible #19.
Aunt Hazel’s Kitchen Lemon Meringue Pie
January’s almost over, long after season’s eatings, and I’ve still got this tangy, firm lemon filling; nice, airy, fluffy meringue topping; and a chewy, tasty crust (10-inches for P270) dessert on my mind.
It’s been said that, “When life throws you lemons, make lemon meringue pie.” Well, life has recently thrown me a bushel of these proverbial lemons. Must be why I’m thinking about this delectable treat. *tee hee I’ll look to Auntie Hazel to make this for me; a nice snack to chew on while I chew on the lemons from life. (Life, you b!+ch. =)) )
While I take care of that, trust, I won’t leave you, dear reader, hanging. Chew on this rundown of menus from the newest brick and mortar places in food trip city, Baguio City. =D And if you also want a pie or two … or three (*hihi no judgments here), please get in touch with Ms. Angelie Pamela on Facebook.
1.) Bakuran Cafe and Restaurant
2. Barefruit Guyabano
Who doesn’t love guyabano? And get a load of the other fab fruits you can pair it with for your smoothie. *sip ahh and oh, so healthy.
3.) Inihaw Republic
We can now have Inihaw Republic signature dishes, all year round, not just Session Road in Bloom. *hihi
4.) Samgyeop Pocha
5.) Sweet Stop (Cassava cakes, Cupcakes and More)
A happy discovery after eating dinner at Veneer and strolling Session. =)
6.) Takai Yama
7.) Pilando Building Food Court
-
Babaknok
-
Lemon Boss
-
Manang Sisig
These are just what X+1 got to try since we arrived at closing time. Chia’s as well as concessionaires serving binatog, shawarma, fruit shakes, Korean snack foods can also be found here.
8.) What’s Up Duck Cafe & Resto
What’s up with What’s Up Duck? Why, it’s their menu. It has now expanded … A LOT, that it’s like a new restaurant entirely. At a recent foodievent that WUD was nice enough to invite my foodie bloggin’ friends and I to, we got to taste so much more than duck dishes. Take a quick scroll down to the last photo of this post, you’ll see how it’s really coming together. Right? Right. ^^,
9.) Wicked Snow
They make it just in time for Panagbenga 2018, methinks. What cooling comfort they can provide in the form of their bingsu after a couple of rounds up and down Session Road. \m/
So now you’re up to speed on where my foodie lovies and I have been poking our noses and chompers into so far. (“,)
(My regular request for menu-centric posts, let me repeat it again for the nth time.) Talk to me by leaving a comment below if you want to know where these places are before I get to writing a feature blogpost (which will then have the complete address) on them. If you’re too shy to ask, Uncle Google can help.
Now, where are those darn lemons. Let me at yah!

Sizzling beef w/ mushroom gravy, WUD burger, pinikpikang pato, spicy duck adobo, Ceasar salad, crispy pata, chicken, sizzling duck sisig, crispy chiqk salad, and fried mozzarella. ^^, (Thank you, Sir Osiris and the WUD family for this spread!)

Hi. Where can I find Samgyeop Pocha? I love Korean dramas. I would love a photo at their place like you. ^-^ Thanks
Hello. Samgyeop Pocha is located above White Moon on Leonard Wood, the road going into Azalea Residences.
I hope you enjoy your meal there and get nice photos at their outdoor mural. Thanks for visiting this food blog! (“,)
I think I want to try the food at Takai Yama and Bakuran first from all the menus in here. Where are these restos?
Hello, Iza! Takai Yama is located in 136 Kennon Road, Camp 7. Bakuran Cafe and Restaurant is in Lower P. Burgos, across from the old Sto. Nino Hospital. I hope you have a great time at these restaurants. Thanks for visiting the blog! (“,)
Ayyy bongga. Parang kasama sa goblin sa samgyeop pocha!! Bet na bet. Open na pala ang Takai Yama. Ispluk mo sakin san makikita ang Wicked Snow hahaha Iniimbyerna ka ng life? Imbyernahin mo rin
Hello, Mario! *hihi A really amusing mural at Samgyeop Pocha. On the other side, they have another mural with gangster looking people.
Yes, Takai Yama Japanese Cuisine is open. I was pretty surprised too when a friend informed me. Thought they were already open in late December. =b As for Wicked Snow, that’s located in Basement 1 of Hotel Veniz Session.
I will try my very best to imbyerna life back. Thank you. Thank you, Mario! Enjoy Wicked Snow and the other restos you check off from your list! (“,)
Is Barefruit Guyabano the booth in Sm? I dont think I read your post about What’s Up Duck before. Where is that restaurant? tnx
Hello! Yes, Bare Fruit Guyabano is a booth on the top floor of SM. What’s Up, Duck Cafe & Resto is located in #18 Bakakeng Road, a short distance from the Welcome arch. It’s the first road diverting from the main one on your right, going up.
I hope you enjoy the dishes there as much as we did. Thanks for dropping by! (“,)
