Come Together Right Now Over Raduno Cafe and Resto
So, yes, we eventually got to cross Raduno Cafe off the Baguio restaurant list. (Can you believe how long it’s gotten? Whoa, right?)
Finally! I also got to ask someone from the restaurant itself what ‘raduno’ exactly means. Basically, and Italian word meaning people coming together in one place, Ms. Alyssa told us. (Thankies!) Thus, our background theme music as I write this feature post: Aerosmith’s Come Together. ♫
As mentioned in the menu post, this joint took up the mantle from Game & Grub. Like a good successor, it’s still a boardgame cafe where you can play one game free when your order adds up to P100 per person. If you ever want to change games, it’s only an extra P50. Play while you drink your bella verde coffee based frappe, for instance. =D
Again, yes, that’s coffee and I’m fixated on its beautiful green hue. I was quite surprised when it arrived at the table. To be frank, for a second, I panicked and my mind screamed, WAAAH, did you order matcha again?!! And then I remembered it’s coffee. =b How it gave our taste buds a zing when we took a sip. Makes you want to sip continuously until every drop is gone.
Besides drinks, board game cafe and resto visitors can also energize body and mind (to get one’s head in the game ^^,) with other Raduno specialties. Mostly Italian and Spanish selections (Refreshing really; I’m so over burgers at the moment) and also a dash of Filipino dishes here and there like ta-dah, our favorite blend of spaghetti, the sweet and tangy Filipino spag.
We picked out sizzling sisig from the offering of Philippine faves this visit though, which is relatively new to the Raduno food list, we were told; added especially for people looking for pulutan like snackage while playing. A proper sisig with crispy bits but one fatty number. Whatever we brought home, I gave to my brother and he relates that he enjoyed that lot. (“,)
Seafood saffron soup was eye candy and eye catchy for its creamy golden hue. It’s served with garlic bread and a pesto dip. Pretty rich and buttery (that Race joked that raduno might really stand for luxurious/rich/house of cream *harhar ), with mussels in a half shell, shrimp and crabstick bits, we just managed to halve the portion. *hee
(Commercial break thought. *teehee So uncanny, when I order stuff, you’d think I was a seafood lover. What is it about shrimpy things that keep getting my attention? Or the word seafood. Is it, I’m processing it as “see food“? Hhmmm.)
For pasta, I went for crab meat and concasse sauce. (Also served with garlic bread and a pesto dip.) You know it, crab stick strips, nyum. Interesting the texture those crabstick strips lent to the forkfuls of pasta. It was full flavored oily enough to make me think it might have had aligue. I continued eating half of it at home at a later meal. Reheated, it became even more delish. Nabitin ako. =))
X marks Raduno Cafe and Resto for good food in Baguio. Doing my best impression of Steven Tyler, I sing, “Come toge-therrr, right now … over Raduno”. *playing air guitar
Ambiance: Sweet! Raduno was able to get the whole space in the second floor. I was complaining about floor space at Game and Grub and now, they have it (Keumsan size), me happy. No claustrophobic feelings and best part, enough room for gamers because they’ve two table sizes. (Another commercial break thought: Up the stakes gaming and eating at Raduno, let the losers pay for the meal. *maniacal laugh)

Ikaw lang lumafang nung mga seafood order sa Raduno? Seafood lover ka naman ata. In fair, gandara naman kasi ang seafood. May nasight ako nuon na picture ng mga iba ibang sushi. Ganders talaga. Bet na bet din pag fresh. Mukang masarap nga yung crab concasse pasta mo. Tikman ko rin yan one of these deizz. hehe
Hello, Mario! I shared my Raduno Cafe and Resto soup and pasta with Race. I just got a little taste of his sisig order.
I know right, seafood’s so pretty. I can imagine the sushi platter you’re talking about. Though I’m not a sushi lover myself.
The crab meat and concasse seafood pasta really was delish. I am craving it again. So bitin =))
Thanks for your insight on seafood. Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment! (“,)
Raduno Resto Cafe feature! I was waiting for this. We did not get to try game and grub before and I was wondering what they have here when it became Raduno. Good they did not take off the board games so they have something different. Thanks, Xine 🙂
Hi there, Candy! Oh, apologies. *hihi Raduno Cafe made Game & Grub grow … most specifically with their menu. So many choices.
It is a happy thought that they maintained the boardgames offering. You’re right, that is what made them different from other cafes.
I hope you have a fun and memorable dining experience at Raduno Restaurant! Game face on! (“,)
where is Raduno menu? T.y. ate
Hello there! The Raduno Cafe Resto menu is in the previous post (linked to the word ‘menu’ in this post) *hihi https://findgoodbaguiofoods.com/2017/08/08/baguio-food-adventures-a-menu-rundown/ Thanks for visiting Find Good Baguio Foods! (“,)
