Intermission: The Usual Suspects (@ Panagbenga Session Road in Bloom)

It’s the first day of Session Road in Bloom today and from our 5:00 a.m. walk, I saw …

mostly the same stuff as last year. Specific stalls are even in the same place giving me a feeling of deja vu. (Together with that feeling, I wondered if there’s a five year package or something for these booths on the road. =D I miss Session Road in Bloom of the first years – when the stalls were set up on the sidewalk, you can see over the median strip of the road … and even sit there, weee. Shout out to Myrtle, Ricky, Joven, John, Rocky, Adrian, and Carl! (“,))

Take heart, Baguio eatsplorers, there are a few new players like …

• Empanadang Ilocos in cooperation with Route 55 and thus a few favorite selections from the Legarda ribs and wings depot. (Goooo, lemon basil cooler! ^^,)
• There are other stalls that serve empanadang Ilocos as well. (Fighting for the spotlight against shawarma? Ohhh.)
• Cha Tien‘s got their booth set up there, too.

Either way,my foodie loved ones and I are still going back out to join the fray, if only to  usi-usi and restock on Unoy rice, the champorado without need for choco. =)

What we bought after our little musical chairs game at SSS *heehaha (with our beat up and stretched out reused plastic bags as a backdrop)

REMINDERS:

1.) For those planning to go to Session Road, plastic bags are still banned from the scene, so it’s DEFINITELY a good idea to bring your own ecobags – something that’s big and sturdy would be best.

2.) Bring an umbrella. (Because rain is becoming a usual at this event. Lookie, it’s a bit cloudy now, just in case. Also, it’s sunny bright on the other half of the road when you walk around in the mornings.)

3.) Beware of pickpockets.

4.) Dispose of your trash properly please.

Garbage cans can be found along the sidewalk. (Puny, I know, but it’s better than nothing.)

5.) Happy shopping.

6.) Happy eating.

7.) Happy sightseeing and enjoy, my foodie friends! (“,)

When else can we have Baguio Country Club/Villa Cordillera, Te Quiero,  Hotel Elizabeth, Le Chef, Enriquez meat shop, Nora’s Homemade Sorbet and Ice Cream, Cinnabon, etc. in one place?
