Baguio Greatest Hits for Good Food
With the right answer posted on this blog’s Facebook page, I thought it a good time to shine the spotlight on this Baguio great for good food now. (Thank you so much, Rinna and Sam for joining the impromptu giveaway. Congratulations, you guys! Will be meeting you with your prizes, asap. \m/ Keep a look out, Baguio food questers. I enjoyed myself so much with that giveaway, we’ll be doing more of that. *wink)
This next eatery for good simple but staple food Baguio is pretty well known in the City of Pines. (Although ‘well known’ had a different definition for me then).
7.) Kadis Grill and Fastfood
(I think) I remember Kadis being advertised on the radio when I was young, so I knew of them. But just like Chia’s, I have never really been there until we went on the food quest. *hee
I felt an even more pressing need to check them out especially after the article about the 10 Yummiest Restaurants in Baguio by gmanetwork.com came out. Ohh, the comments left there by the locals, all of a sudden my list for staple foods in Baguio grew longer. I felt this wouldn’t be truly X Marks the Spot for Good Baguio Foods if I didn’t know about the food establishments that are close to the residents’ hearts.

Our event menu. Melon milk (oh yeah!), bakareta, karekare, pinaputok na boneless bangus, pata tim (that looked like adobo to everyone … must’ve been adobo but my sister is positive she ordered pata tim *hihi), cream of asparagus soup, mixed seafood with coco cream, pancit, and sapin sapin
Thanks to events and milestones in our lives and in the lives of the people we love that the grill and fastfood was checked off the list. ^^, When the Kadis food arrived at the BCC cottage that day, it livened up the place and made it a little more homey for all of us.
Of the selection, I went back for seconds of the beef caldereta and the milk fish. My brother got his chompers around the mixed seafood and Race liked the adobo. (That we were expecting to be pata tim =b – A minor fluke on the eatery’s part for the catering service was seamless. They left us with our own attendant who stayed for the whole duration of the party and who packed the leftovers nicely in ‘take away’ bags at the end of it … which wasn’t much since everyone loved the dishes. =D)
I now have a favorite dining place for affordable, delicious, home cooked food when I find myself on Assumption Road. =)
Here’s what we had at one of our lunches at the Prudential Life Building food court. Though there are many other stalls selling food there (Macsbox recently opened a stall there too), we went Kadis Grill all the way. (“,)

Budget meal of sarciado and sinigang.
Even for our drinks – budget friendly pearl juices that topped us off. *burp
X marks Kadis Grill and Fastfood for good food in Baguio. But you already knew that … it’s one of Baguio’s greatest hits for restaurants.

This is my bestfriend’s mom’s resto 😀 hihihi 😀 i loooooove the melon milk! 😀
Oh-ha-ha! Interesting Baguio dining factoid there. … how closely knit the food scene in Baguio is. (Ms. Ela’s mom owns Pot o’ Gold in Naguilian Road – party supply store and the best cream puffs ever! and another store in front of SLU Waldo Gate and they sell ice toppers, potato twists and some other stuff i have yet to munch on.)
Thank you so much, elakatrina! My gosh, the melon milk, might be the first time I heard of that as part of the catering menu – so deliciously refreshing. It’s going to be a regular now! *hihi
Happy food questing, you – the even happier girl now! *wink wink (“,)
