Quarantine Surprises (“,)
Because yes, we’re still on quarantine. Whether we’re on ECQ, GCQ, or MGCQ, the operative word there is “quarantine”. ^^,
So I’d just like to reiterate what’s already been (hopefully) drummed into us that we should only go out when it’s an important errand, practice social/physical (whatever the new modifying word they come up with is, as long as you understand ‘distancing’) distancing, wear our masks when outside the house … might I emphasize – PROPERLY, and maintain hygienic practices please, please, please. Let’s take care of each other. ❤
Looking on the bright-er side of the situation we’re in right now, if this really is this generation’s world war, then we’ve got it good since we’re only asked to stay home and again, little luxuries such as deliveries are available to us.
That said, let’s play a little “What’s in the bag?” shall we? Because apart from deliveries making eatsplorations at home possible, four food joints made my and my foodie lovies’ days special when I received their message telling me that they’re sending something they’d want me to try. Hooray for quarantine suprises!!! Wee!
[I’ll be using a different watermark for some of these photos in this post, my foodie friends, because the main photo editing tool I use keeps crashing today and I couldn’t put my standard (less invasive on the look of the food on the photo) watermark.]
1.) Boy Ihaw
If there’s one thing I’m sure we miss these days that we’re cooped up in the house, it’s streetside turo turo ihaw ihaw meaty snacks. Crave no more because Boy Ihaw, can deliver barbecue, pisngi/tenga, isaw, and isaw baboy straight to your home complete with a nice smoked aroma, and fantabulous taste, and toma-worthy vinegar to boot. Y-U-M!
If you like to do the grilling yourself, Boy Ihaw also has ready-to-ihaw packs. =]

2.) Grill Station by Kadis
There’s always something added to the menu at Kadis’ sister resto, Grill Station. Even while we’re on house arrest, they somehow still trigger the mouth to water. And because they deliver, their latest addition: Spanish baby back ribs (A beautiful flavorful, tender but with bite slab), and soft and hard shell tacos, and the ever reliable, sip ahh inducing Kadis mango shake can easily be had. =D
Contact Grill Station if you want these for yourself:
https://www.facebook.com/grillstationbykadis/
3.)Nora’s Craft Ice Cream
From sorbets to honest to goodness ice cream, Nora’s is now pushing the envelope by expanding their line up to fun desserts just like this panookie/pizookie.
Something about the combo of a huge chewy cookie and rich ice cream that’s so heavenly. (“,)
Screaming for ice cream? Visit their page:

4.) Nori Bake
The nagging curiosity I had about the dish talked about in FB newsfeed town, the sushi bake, in one fell swoop is put to rest by Nori Bake. I now have to contend with craving these layers of shiny rice and diverse tasty toppings and textures that come together in a big umami-licious bite wrapped (barely, in our case *tahaha) in a nori sheet. =)
Kill your curiosity about this latest food craze … You know you want it *hee:
https://www.facebook.com/noribake/
(Thank you so much to Boy Ihaw, Grill Station by Kadis, Nora’s Craft Ice Cream, and Nori Bake for thinking of little ole always-looking-for-something-to-munch-on me. More power! \m/)
To my fellow humans, it bears repeating that we should eatsplore at home and only go out for important stuff … If we do go out, please practice social/physical distancing, wear our masks PROPERLY (none of that nose hanging out of the mask that could be equated to … picture this: Wearing your underwear with your d!ck outside of that underwear =b), and wash, W-A-S-H hands frequently.
Stay safe and healthy, y’all! (And because I’m Kdrama overloaded:) Fighting!

By all means, eat where you want to eat and eat what you want to eat. May you have a great experience with all the places you visit and may all the restaurants you go to deserve a ton of treasure chests! (“,)

Hello there, Mario! Long time no hear! *hihi I finished The King: Eternal Monarch exactly after they had the last episode in. Updated. =b I’m watching an old one now- Oh My Ghostess.
What can I say, blogger perks ba? ^^, Really thankful to Boy Ihaw, Grill Station by Kadis, Nora’s Craft Ice Cream, and Nori Bake for these quarantine surprises. Enjoyable dishes for sure.
I hope you’re doing all right in our house arrest and as we ease into normalcy while still keeping with safety health protocols, Mario! Fingers crossed for a Covid vaccine soon. Till then, ingats, ingats! Andas always, thank YOU! (“,)
I have tasted a couple sushi bakes since the beginning of quarantine. The Nori Bakes looks like they were well thought of.
Hello there, Igi! I agree. I feel too that Nori Bakes did plan their selections for sushi bakes well. They’ve got a nice ratio of the components, not too thick rice and the flavors, wow.
I hope you’ve also tried Nori Bakes and that you enjoyed your orders. Thanks for visiting this food blog! Stay safe! (“,)
Hi Xine it’s been awhile. Do you have any new restaurant features coming soon? Im just rereading some of your old posts and wondering if you tried any new restaurant this time. 🙂
Hello, Candy! Time flies when we’re binging Korean dramas. *tahaha I’m in awe that we’re midway August and so close to Philippine Christmas season now.
I just signed on here today to compose a new post … not a new resto feature though, but new in the Baguio food scene in terms of delivered eats. I haven’t been out much, just three times in the whole quarantine period, you see.
Thanks for using http://www.foodgoodBaguiofoods.com as one of your pastimes in the house arrest. Do stay safe and healthy! (“,)
Thank you so much for the star for this quarantine surprises post, Faith McBride! Happy blogging to you. Stay safe! (“,)
