Intermission: Caught in A KDrama Watching Vortex
Zooooomm! Where did all the months go? =) (It was just August when I got the second quarantine surprises post up, and now, we’re more than halfway through November.)
It started with CLOY a few days going into ‘lockdown‘ in March and before I knew it, it was one Kdrama after another. I couldn’t help it … I was/am keeping to the taumbahay COVID-19 prevention protocol (Everything’s been washed and organized; what else is there to pass the time? Who knew, we’d still be in a pandemic so many months after. Shyeew.) and let’s face it, Korea does come up with highly refreshing, imaginative storylines. Good on them. \m/
Since I got back on the Korean-show-watching horse (Last one was ages ago, at the academy with the Korean college kids = Stairway to Heaven. Cue Ave Maria, theme music for Cha Song Joo’s walking around the amusement park his fam owns, with his crew), I’ve quite a number of titles on my watchED list so far. [A great number of them, making me crave Korean dishes time and again (SaluSalo kimchi jjigae by Chef Emman/Captain Cook please! ^^,), so much so I even learned to make miyeok guk *Asa! (since no Korean restaurant in Baguio really serves the so called birthday soup, as far as I know.)]
I’d like to document it for posterity … my crazy lady binge watching period (As if food movies and Christmas movies weren’t enough =b), make like mauubusan ng papanoorin if I wasn’t fast enough moments. *tahahaha

(Maybe you want to leave your Kdrama faves on the comments section too. While I’m caught in the binge vortex, might as well, eh? *hihi)
Whatever it is you’re doing to pass the time, to distract yourself, entertain yourself, I hope you’re doing a-okay, at the very least, dear reader. Keep on keeping on, take care! Fighting! (“,)

ate!! omo omo I love this post. You watched so many Kdramas. The asterisk beside the titles means you like those most right. I lab lab lab W: Two Worlds. The chemistry between Han Hyo-Joo and Lee Jong-Suk was so good!!!!!
Hello there, Ava! Yes, the more the asterisks (three tops =b), the more I loved those Korean dramas. Apir with W kdrama, I really enjoyed that … Fun storyline and Lee Jong Suk looks good as a comicbook character. *heehaha
Thanks for visiting the blog! Happy eatsploring, and of course, happy watching to you. (“,)
KDrama galore! Anything with MinHo Ill watch it. Heirs and Boys Over Flowers are my favorites.
Hello there, Steph! Lee Min Ho is nice to look at. *hihi Heard a lot about those K dramas, thanks for the ‘reinforcement reco’.
Thank you so much for visiting FGBFs! I do hope you’re doing a-okay. Stay safe. (“,)
It’s Okay to Not Be Okay was great. The music in that korean drama too
Hello, Iza! Such an amusing character that Ko Mun Yeong. =b I agree about the music from IOTNBO … if I’m not watching anything, it’s Kdrama OSTs playing in the background and I actually stop what I’m doing when OK Psychiatric Hospital sountrack coming in on the Youtube playlist.
Thanks muchie for reading my Korean drama watched list. Happy eatsploring and watching! (“,)
So this is what you have been busy with. That’s a long list of Korean dramas you checked off. How many series do you watch in one week?3 simultaneous?
Hello, Alysa! Yes, time did fly by being entertained watching how the most exciting storylines in K drama unfold.
Based on calculations (*heehaha), I watch 1.3 per week. =b The ongoing ones on the watched list, two are new so they only have a new episode per week. If only binge watching could be chalked up as an accomplishment. =))
Not a Kdrama watcher? What do you watch for entertainment?
As always, thankies for looking in on the posts on this blog! Take care! (“,)
Oi gurl! 44 korean dramas in 3 months? Pacheck up ka . malubha na ata yan hehe Parang ARMY ng BTS pero sayo sa mga drama
Hello there, Mario! In my defense, it’s 44 Kdramas in 8 months. Though with my regular TV shows out for the season, I did rake up a number of Korean titles in the first months into ECQ.
When it comes to Korean music, I’m more into soundtracks of the stuff I watched. Interesting phenomenon, BTS and their Army.
I take it you didn’t get in the bandwagon of drama watching, what do you do to pass the time? Usi lang. =b
Thank you for being a regular fixture in the comments section of my posts, happy to see you! *hihi Stay safe! (“,)
Oo gurl walang effect sa lola mo mga oppa oppa. Plantita akez.
Ohh, nice one, plantita Mario! Greenthumb pala. I hope your garden’s lush and thriving. (“,)
Reply 1988 JJANG the best Kdrama ever.
I recommend What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, Descendants of the Sun, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon to you.
Hello there! Ohh, a ‘jjang’ rating for Reply 1988. I have that on my list but I haven’t really gotten into it … but I’m sure I will, one of these house arrest days.
Thank you for your Kdrama recommendations. Thank you for visiting the blog! Happy watching and take care! (“,)
Since this post was published, I finished watching Angry Mom, Dear My Friends, Familiar Wife, Kill Me, Heal Me; and Life on Mars. (“,) 49 titles on my binge watched Kdramas while on quarantine so far. *tee hee hee
