Citylight Hotel Breakfast Buffet: Breakfast Buffet for Everyone!
When it comes to breakfast buffets, probably the most accessible one is what’s offered daily at Citylight hotel. For one, it costs only about P200 (UPDATE 02/25/19: P240) per person and two; it’s just a little way from the center of town.

If you arrive too early, don’t fret. Occupy your time with the Citylight surroundings. See the oval spiral staircase? (I love stairs!) Ahoy, from the first floor! (“,)
They open at 6:30 a.m. and it doesn’t matter if the hotel has a full occupancy or not, the dining area always gets packed, so much so that they sometimes lay out extra tables outside. Make sure you get a good night’s sleep the day before you plan to eat here. If only to get a good seat, waking up early and making it early is important.
Before you start your early morning binge, you should know that it works like a movie theater partaking in the Citylight breakfast buffet. Settle your account with the seating hostess in front first so you can get your receipt. That serves as your ticket to a hearty meal. *heeeee
Once you’ve done that, you’re home free. Go ahead and pile the siomai, the rice, varieties of viands, the bread, the roast ham etc. on your plate. A little heads up, they have a no leftover policy here so get only what you can consume.
In both of my visits to Citylight, I came upon the same breakfast spread. My sister said that they served delicious hotdogs but I still have to come for the Citylight breakfast when they serve that. =)
With the spread I’m familiar with, I particularly like the lomi and the congee – with everything that you can possibly use as toppings please (for those lazy to chew moments =b), the macaroni/mushroom milky creamy soup too; the siomai (that comes with chili oil that provides for a jump kick a la Bruce Lee *sPiiiicy!), the braised beef (I guess that was it ^^, so delectable I forgot to make a note of the dish) and the dinner (errr breakfast?) rolls. I’m not one to back out on salad or ensalada complete with shrimp paste and also daing or danggit.
It’s okay to choose only your favorites from the Citylight breakfast buffet spread. With the price you’re paying, you’re not really compelled to sample everything or to continue eating even when you’re full just to ensure you get your money’s worth. To state things simply, ‘di nakaka(pang)hinyang. (“,) A great breakfast offering, Citylight! Thank you!
(UPDATE 02/25/2019: Citylight’s inhouse resto, Salt and Pepper Restaurant, now offers merienda buffet daily from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for P180. )
X marks Citylight Hotel for good food (sumptuous breakfast buffet for the masses) in Baguio.
Ohhh, desserts at their café. Must come back for these sweet treats some time. =D
