Intermission: Quiet Time
I have to make this quick, my foodie friends. ^^, My internet connection is fluctuating like it’s never done before. Think, the pretty lights going up and down on a stereo equalizer … but extremely annoying. (I loved watching equalizer lights be it day or night when I was younger. *hypnotized)
One minute the connection levels are up and just as I’m about to click on something, they’re down to one bar which is zilch signal, really. Nothing much for me to do on the PC but play with the dino game on Google Chrome. Rub it in, why don’t you, that I’m in the Jurassic Period/feeling prehistoric. =)))
At the moment, my desktop photo is of the labyrinth for meditation at Mirador Jesuit Villa. (Thank you ever so much, Clarissa for taking Race and me there.) Clicking ‘show desktop’ and staring at it, it dawned on me that I might as well disconnect and spend the time in reflection, (a la high school recollections but way longer), it being Holy Week, Maundy Thursday and all. (“,)
Truly good timing, too, because some type of burnout on the blogging side of life is creeping up on me. Remember when I said, it’s easier to eat than sit on composing a blog post? Recently, it’s feeling like a chore. =b Soooo, I’m going take a wittle time out from this – the writing …
(No worries, I’ll still be posting updates about the Baguio food quest on the Facebook page. \m/)
… not necessarily here, at Mirador Jesuit Villa. This is for extreme contemplation, of course, of the religious persuasion. =D But just in case this is the type of retreat you’re looking to have for a few days in the future, there’s more information about the facilities [they’ve got many rooms (yes, if booked for days on end, retreat-goers can sleep there), chapels and prayer rooms, a mess hall where I heard they serve simple but great tasting home cooked comfort food, etc.], the religious formation programs, booking for a retreat, etc., on their website: http://miradorjesuitvilla.com/

Race walking the Knidos Labyrinth, barefoot. Clarissa says, it helps one keep focus on the meditation and reflection. (“,) For additional reference: http://www.wikihow.com/Meditate-in-a-Labyrinth
Till, post posting, eatcentrics! Wishing you a reflective and blessed Holy Week!

X Marks the Spot for Good Baguio Foods is a personal blog. Everything posted in this blog is PERSONAL OPINION DERIVED FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE and since TASTE can be pretty SUBJECTIVE, should NOT be taken as THE NORM or the LAW OF DINING around in the City of Pines.
Its (prosaic =b) contents are meant to help with the question “san tayo?”/where do we go? in relation to eating out in Baguio, to ENCOURAGE EXPLORING (eatsploring) and TRYING NEW THINGS offered in the City of Pines.
By all means, eat where you want to eat and eat what you want to eat. May you have a great experience with all the places you visit and may all the restaurants you go to deserve a ton of treasure chests! (“,)
(Also, if you have any second thoughts about a certain place you arrive at, please DON'T LET THIS BLOG BE THE REASON YOU ARE FORCED into ending up anywhere. If the restaurant doesn’t have what you want, please FEEL FREE TO WALK AWAY.)
