Baguio Greatest Hits for Good Food

Strike three (and we’re IN \m/) for Baguio restaurants that need no introduction or any kind of commentary!

(We were supposed to case out Star Cafe but we’ve come upon it with its doors closed … again.  Ahey, I didn’t know they closed so early.  But oh yeah, I’m learning. *hihi)

4.) Luisa’s Cafe

To my recollection, this is just my second time to eat at Luisa’s (That’s not counting the times I bought Arce Dairy ice cream when they used to sell the stuff here.)

It was strange though, in this next visit, the place had such a nostalgic atmosphere about it, I felt like I just passed through a time warp and was walking there as a primary school student again.  Was it the paint job?  Was it the T12 fluorescent lamps overhead? Was it was the oldish folks who frequent this establishment? (Scratch that last one, my bad *heeharhar)

My dinner. (Was feeling sort of full from snacking on … a lot of things =D)

Luisa's Cafe siopao asado and bola bola

Siopao, asado and bola bola … Luisa’s version. =) It was okay, but this made me miss Sunshine Lunch all the more. *sighs

Race’s dinner.

Luisa's Cafe Luisa's rice

Luisa’s rice (“,) Just like what you would get from eateries serving the simple but staple. With pieces of lechon/liempo, slices of asado, fried chicken, a fried egg, and veggies all piled one on top of the other. “Kini Manong Jack lang didiay”, no more. But Luisa’s has its own good flavor to this specialty rice meal.  Of course, it took a lot of real estate, that’s satisfying.

X marks Luisa’s Cafe for good food in Baguio. But you already knew that … it’s one of Baguio’s greatest hits for restaurants.

About to enjoy Luisa's Cafe siopao

Do not disturb. =))
