UPDATE: Kambingan sa Scout Barrio (formerly Tabligan’s)
Mission: Look for and dine at Crazy Chef.
That was Karla’s find which she told me about in December of last year. She did mention in our Barn experience though that she wasn’t sure if they were still open (startup troubles, something or other. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they work-ed things out.) To Loakan, Race and I rode, almost getting to PMA. We didn’t see Crazy Chef on either side of the street, both ways, coming and going. (My bad for not rereading Karla’s directions before embarking on the journey. =b)
We were prepared enough, however, in that we had a backup plan. We learned a little something about how to do proper recon, from my brother. *hee
Plan B: Tabligan Kambingan sa Scout Barrio … and what a great fallback it was. (“,)
For more details (directions, treasure chest ratings and so on) about the kambingan, click here.

Another view of front yard dining area at the Scout Barrio kambingan. =) We’re going to get a seat there – where the guys are – next time.
We arrived a little after lunch (super famished) and luckily, they still had viands available. (Dang, we missed the kilawin. We’ll be back for that. =D)

Going for a different … err, potahe. (English translation: Kind of food to prepare. Sounds better in Tagalog, right? *hihi) Beef and mushroom =D That was a good pick. Yum, mushroom and yum, tender savory beef!
After finishing the cup of rice on my plate (with the beef and mushroom and the pieces of meat from the tamarind soup), I focused on the broth. =)) Yes, the one in my cup and the one in the bowl. Not a single drop of that was left. Good thing, Tabligan’s allows refills and so refills, I did get … four cups and soup refill in the serving bowl, too. (Addict lang *heehaha)
Race mostly got “refills” of rice, half of which got doused in the sinampalukan soup and the other half eaten with the saucy (in every sense of the word) beef and mushroom. He topped his lunch off with a cup of kick ass coffee. You can bet, he went on a caffeine high for a few hours. =b

Race about to enjoy a (late) Tabligan lunch … and then, enjoying free and overflowing brewed coffee (in solace) at the end of the meal. =)
Two words to describe Race and me after this fabulous Plan B of a meal: Completely satisfied. ^^,

The Tabligan Kambingan sa Scout Barrio fame. Wee!
