Under the Tree Book Café: H-A-N-G O-U-T \m/
Found the perfect place to hang out in the center of town. (“,)

Hang out with us Under the Tree (“,)
- It’s quiet and cozy (even with the hustle and bustle outside.)
- It’s a place where you can have some tasty light snacks and a nice cup/glass of hot/cold beverages.

Green tea cafe latte. The trick must be with using just the right amount of matcha powder…this didn’t taste seaweed-y. …a little bit watery though. Race was looking for a consistency like Future Diner’s cloud rangers – smooth but thick. But, we’ll take it watery than seaweed-y any day. =)
- It’s where you can stay for a while, reading a book (your own or one of the books they have in their collection) or just spending time with your friends and loved ones.

There are so many post-it messages and scribbles that the other patrons stuck on the cafe wall…you can read those, too. *hihi
- It’s a place where you can fulfill your moral obligations without even realizing it (says so on the blackboard by the door and also on their menu, “Profits are used to help people in need”).

The menu…I didnt really get the part of the blackboard saying where the profits will be used in this photo…but it’s there (peeking) at the upper left hand (your left) corner. *heee
X marks Under the Tree Book Café for good food (creamy cream not-so-puffy-but-mouthwatering-anyway flaky puff =b) and drink (green tea tasting green tea cafe latte =b) in Baguio.
♪ ♫ Come, my foodie friends…
To ‘Under the Tree’.
Let’s H-A-N-G O-U-T! ♫
Food: for the creamy cream not-so-puffy-but-mouthwatering-anyway puff =D
Drink: for the green tea frappe. Will come back for the other beverages, specifically, sweet potato latte as recommended by one of my foodie friends, Graycee. Shout out to you! ^^,

‘Cafe under the tree…Nung hinanap ko ito eh, hinap ko talaga kung saan yong puno./When I went looking for this (place), I also went looking for the tree.’ My thoughts exactly *harhar. Thanks, Eunice. (“,) There are trees around the Baden Powell Hotel/Governor Pack area. It might even be that the cafe was over some trees. *harhar
Speaking of trees, I’ve got my fingers crossed for the trees on Luneta Hill. If you’re up for fulfilling more of your duties (to the environment, this time), please help Baguio City by signing this petition. Tree huggers, UNITE! (“,) Thank you in advance!
Parting thought: “When the last tree has been cut down, the last fish caught, the last river poisoned, only then will we realize that one cannot eat money.”

X Marks the Spot for Good Baguio Foods is a personal blog. Everything posted in this blog is PERSONAL OPINION DERIVED FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE and since TASTE can be pretty SUBJECTIVE, should NOT be taken as THE NORM or the LAW OF DINING around in the City of Pines.
Its (prosaic =b) contents are meant to help with the question “san tayo?”/where do we go? in relation to eating out in Baguio, to ENCOURAGE EXPLORING (eatsploring) and TRYING NEW THINGS offered in the City of Pines.
By all means, eat where you want to eat and eat what you want to eat. May you have a great experience with all the places you visit and may all the restaurants you go to deserve a ton of treasure chests! (“,)
(Also, if you have any second thoughts about a certain place you arrive at, please DON'T LET THIS BLOG BE THE REASON YOU ARE FORCED into ending up anywhere. If the restaurant doesn’t have what you want, please FEEL FREE TO WALK AWAY.)
