When Marooned on Blackbeard’s Seafood Island…
When marooned in Blackbeard’s Seafood Island, there’s only one thing to do and that’s TO EAT. In thinking about the best dishes that you could get for yourself and your crew, boodle fight, I think, is your best choice here. Luckily, there’s more than one type of boodle fight available at this establishment.
Here’s what Race and I had when we checked this restaurant out.
These are the fanciest drinks pirates could ever have, I think =b. I could hear them ranting now, where’s the rum?! WHERE’S THE RUM?!
And we’re ready for the boodle fight with crispy shrimps, san mig clams, grilled tilapia, grilled squid, laing, steamed crabs, grilled liempo and kalkag rice.
The next time we were marooned at Blackbeard’s, we brought my brother, my sister and her kids in as recruits.
We still got into a boodle fight and climbed Mt. Apo with dishes like imbao sa buco, steamed crabs, grilled liempo, inihaw na manok sa gata, grilled squid, steamed shrimps, fried tilapia, law-uy, kinalaw na tanigue, balbakwa, ensalatang lato with crispy dilis and salted fish rice.
We were hungry enough it seemed that the Mt. Apo boodle fight didn’t cut it. So we got into another boodle fight. This time, we took a dip in Tali Beach.
For this spread, we got grilled chicken, inasal, big bbq, steamed white shrimps, grilled tilapia, grilled tahong, crabs, grilled squid, grilled tomatoes, lato, mangga, pakwan and steamed rice.
We capped it off with something sweet (and definitely, un-pirate-y).
X marks Blackbeard’s Seafood Island for good and interesting spreads for a boodle fight in Baguio. I’m sure there’s a little pirate in you somewhere, matey. Feel free to let it out at Blackbeard’s. ARRRRR!
Service: (Mutiny in Cap’n Blackbeard’s Island! Belay yer talk, scurvy scallywags and bring us our grub, smartly!)
Price: specifically for the boodle fight offering.
