Le Jardin Oublie Patisserie Macarons
(Or simply put, Baguio macarons.=D)
I’m not fond of macarons. It’s mostly due to the fact that when someone mentions it, I have an image in my mind of dry, crusty balls of coconut. Me no likey coco shavings. (Maybe just the one used on puto but then, come to think of it, that really isn’t that dry.=b) Says a lot about about what I know about the macaron, doesn’t it? Macarons and macaroooooons are different. *blushies The thing is, I don’t believe I’ve ever had a noteworthy macaron before. Sure, they’re pretty but what of the taste?
It’s thanks to Sir Raffel of Split2nd Evolutions that I heard of Baguiomacarons. With a little googling action, I found their Instagram account and promptly sent them an SMS. As soon as I got confirmation that we could try all the varieties they have with an order of three boxes of six at P300 each, I placed the order. I got them the very next day from Sir Miguel who was a fount of info on these little pretties which are now mine for the snacking. (If we weren’t standing on the street, I would’ve probed more … and maybe taken notes *hihi) Needless to say, I have added knowledge now about this fetching, fetching tea time munchie. [Thank you so much, Sir(s)! ^^,]

Meringue-like delicate (and perfect, must not forget to mention that; gosh, it’s just so pretty) outer shell, a bit of a crumbly coconut consistency on the inner side (in a good way for me *teehee) with a sweet creamy filling of various flavors, the Le Jardin Oublie Patisserie macarons made for memorable bites for my foodie loved ones and me. (“,)

So far, the flavors they have are:
- Early grey with dark Belgian choco filling (my number one pick … as well as my brother’s)
- Green tea
- Lemon
- Oolong tea with pomegranate filling
- Pistachio with almond filling
- Raspberry (my second favorite)
- Salted caramel [Beth (Karla, where are you?) and my sister’s choice]
- Strawberry (but, of course)
Passion fruit flavor was released recently (when I was MIA from our beautiful city \m/) and I was told that if we had a special flavor in mind, we could ask Baguiomacarons to make it for us. Wee!
