UPDATE: My Serendipitea
Serendipity according to Wiki is one of the ‘untranslatable’ words. By definition, it’s easy enough to understand as a happy accident or a pleasant surprise. In terms of My Serendipitea, however, it’s neither a surprise nor an accident that we found ourselves in this establishment again, what with their wide selection of (tempting) teas and the help we got from the inside. Owner, Maam Iris invited us to try two more bubble teas from their offering, on the house. Wee! (“,)
Race and I went with some of the most basic choices (for us): wintermelon milk tea and matcha green tea. As basic as they are, these tea mixes were special in their own right with sinkers like coffee jelly and azuki beans. Besides the sinkers, I learned that there’s more to Serendipiteas. They’re made from tea freshly brewed every day, and also the ingredients used are only the best, from Taiwan. \m/
Once our drinks we’re made, (“Shaken, not stirred.” *hihi) we were eager to give them a try. I love how the coffee jelly complemented the flavors of my pick! ^^, Is it possible that my Zentea fave has been dethroned by My Serendipitea’s wintermelon concoction? (Abangan!/Tune in – for the verdict!) As for Race and his never-ending, always-a-first-choice matcha green tea, he found another deliciously reliable drink – something that tastes like green tea and not liquefied kim. (I did taste a hint of seaweed-iness but this quickly dissipated with the help of the red bean sinkers finding its way from the straw to my mouth. *whoo, that was close!)
As we enjoyed our complimentary beverages, we chatted with the staff. The manager, Sir Alvin mentioned that the grand opening of My Serendipitea was going to be on February 1, 2013. (Watch out for this, foodie friends; they’ve got a raffle draw going with a ‘secret’ grand prize. Eiii, how exciting!) The store hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. so anyone who’s having an odd-hours hankering for bubble tea (or something hot) can always have some place to go to satisfy that craving. =D

Rubbing elbows (just about *hihi) with the My Serendipitea staff. Shout out to Sir Alvin, Ms.Heidi, and Ms. Shellrina (hope I got the spelling right). (“,)
Hanging out in front of the menu and dreaming of when I would be able to try each and every kind, I noticed that with the teas in the Sweet Karma Series and FruiTEA Chance Series, it’s your call what sinkers will be put in it. More than the sinkers (yet again), the staff told me, you can also customize your drink with regard to sweetness (Equal sweetener coming soon) and carb count. Ohh yeah, you’re getting your tea mixes healthy now. =)
With two more off the list of Serenditipeas, we were as refreshed as could be on a warm Sunday afternoon. We bid the staff goodbye, but not after getting another beverage, amaretto tea, to go. (Just couldn’t resist. *hee)
If you think that you’re a bubble tea addict (like what I think I’m turning into, or is it – have turned into? =b) and you’re thinking of serving these refreshing drinks for an event, My Serendipitea makes it easy with party packages (both for kiddie parties and formal events – SpecialTea Packages)! So you found yourself your cup of Serendipitea? Share it with your loved ones and guests on a special occasion! (birthdays, debuts, weddings, corporate events, etc.)
***Thank you so much, Maam Iris! We so enjoyed our Serendipitea-ous experience! More power to My Serendipitea Baguio! (“,)
