Noodle King Eatery: Not Your Average Noodle House
While I’m a firm believer of paying for something good (There’s no such thing as a free lunch), I’ve recently learned that one can still have it all in the way of huge servings of food that’s well presented on the plate and tastes good, with restaurants that allow our money to go a long way (and these are not carinderias). It’s because of this value they give to my hard earned big sweaty wads of moolah that my flavor for months on end have been restos like Ozark Diner, Foggy Mountain Cookhouse and Sensational Blendz. \m/

A New Meaning to the Phrase ‘Food for Thought’
It’s not always fine and dandy, full speed ahead, the wind in my hair and the sun on my face when I went on the quest to find good food in Baguio. There were a few (thank the gods, just a few) instances when restaurants disappointed me (Race and P3, too =D) with their food, their service or worse, both. For some of these establishments, they were even given chances to redeem themselves (which they didn’t take *pft). These chances were much to Race’s annoyance who said that if they sucked the first time we visited them; you can expect them to suck again. =b.

Soledad’s: Where Memories of Good Home Cooked Food Come Back to Life
A common proverb in the Philippines goes; ‘Ang hindi marunong lumingon sa pinanggalingan, di makararatíng sa paroroonan’. (Literal translation: He, who doesn’t know how to look back on where he came from, will never reach his destiny.) This can also apply to food when we take a look at the options we have for getting good food today. Our society has developed so much in the food industry, that even the biggest brands for food in other countries, e.g., McDonald’s and Starbucks have found their way here. Some had a little difficulty breaking into the Baguio market and some even failed (Wendy’s and Kenny Roger’s Roasters) but with the arrival of these restaurants, the number of places to eat at in the city had risen exponentially.
