My C Boutique Hotel Diet

“A diet is when you watch what you eat and wish you could eat what you watch.” ~ Hermione Gingold

Luckily for me, I must have won some kind of jackpot in the genetics/metabolism lottery that I could afford to be on a “see food diet” – a phrase coined by my sister which means “I see the food, I eat the food”.  (Although heaven knows how much I cross my fingers and mantra that I wouldn’t wake up one day with everything I ever ate catching up with me. *POOF I go, in my imagination. Perish the thought =D)  .

Hearing about the C Boutique Hotel and running a search for their in house restaurant, I stirred myself up into excitement.  This was a food adventure that Race, Jo and I had to go on, TOUT DE SUITE!

UPDATE: Barn Cafe

With a P3 meeting long overdue (Sure, we were just complete at BamBenny but with a friendship like this, once a month doesn’t really cover it. Used to be, it was an everyday meeting with texting as if we didn’t meet at all after our dinner/standing around in front of Chow King “waiting” for a taxi =b); Beth, Karla and I made up for lost time by spending the whole day together.

(Essentially, we didn’t plan it that way … or maybe, Beth did who was going ka-ching with dividends *hihi)  When we thought about where to hang out, the Barn Cafe popped up in my mind as the perfect place since it’s both not that far and not that near town.  They had foodstuff I still wanted to try out and also, they had a cozy and nice looking establishment.

UPDATE: Route 55

Food Adventure at Lights Out (3rd Installment)

The electricity was turned back on by the time we hit Route 55 for dinner but it’s fun to think about ‘everything we accomplished’ the day of the black out. *snickers, lamon fest. (Click here for the breakfast, lunch blogs.)

It was as good a time as any, Race and I thought for quelling our pulled pork curiosity/craving that started the first moment we browsed through the Route 55 menu.

Here’s what we had on that visit.
