UPDATE: Beggang Resto Grill

Going on the food adventure to Beggang with Beth, Race was intrigued about how it has fired up my appetite even further.  He just had to sample what the resto grill had to offer himself.

So, one April evening, we had our meal at Beggang resto.  Combo meal D, a plate of pork spare ribs in BBQ sauce served with buttered vegetables and rice, caught Race’s attention. Having somewhat of a filled tummy before getting to the food establishment, I got what was listed on the board of  today’s specials – fresh lumpia.  Fruit shakes, green mango shake and buko shake, were our dinner drinks.

Notable Edibles #2 – Street Food (Bonifacio Street)

Street Food (Bonifacio Street)

Street food, it forms a huge part of the dining scene probably in every country and in every city in the world.  In the City of Pines, these little snackables are mostly found near schools.

Walking along Mabini Street just recently, I noticed that the area where the stall of Aquino’s used to be had been fenced off.  (Probably another “on this site will rise” a commercial building *sigh.)

(I hope Aquino’s wonderful store of tokeneng, mango halves that you “use” like a spoon for the shrimp paste and palamig/coolers just moved someplace nearby … if they did, UB people please give me a heads up about where I can find them . Thanks, guys! I really appreciate it. (“,))

Beggang, A Firestarter for A Foodie’s Appetite

Beggang.  What an appropriate name for a Baguio food establishment that has fired up Beth’s appetite and mine!  If you ask them, however, they might reply to you with Billy Joel’s song going ‘we didn’t start the fire, it was always burning…’ *hihi
