A Moment of Peace at Cafe de Angelo
With an area of 57.5 square kilometers, Baguio City is a pretty small city. Although it’s not the smallest (According to some funny man on Yahoo answers, it’s Legoland with its scaled down buildings and its temporary population. =b) and not that big either, it can still be pretty noisy with sounds like passing vehicles, welding sounds from a nearby construction etc. going on in the surroundings.
Sometimes, you just want to get away from the hustle and bustle. If only for a short period of time like lunchtime, snack time or an early dinner, the perfect dining experience would be at some place quiet. So where to eat in Baguio? Think outskirts of the city like Eve’s Garden and Mama’s Table. For someone on a budget, however, these places may be out of the question.

Route 55: Good Food Bringing a Dead Zone to Life
Legarda Road is a long road starting off at the Heritage Mansion and ending at the intersection of Marcos Highway/Ben Palispis Highway. When there are lots of shops, hotels, restaurants and other kinds of businesses in the first part of the road; the latter part is mainly a dead zone of sorts. Just to prove my point, a huge building that has never been finished stands in the vicinity as a marker. Passing by that section of Legarda at night, it even seems as though the street lights are dimmer and the air colder. *whoooo =b
With the opening of more businesses in the dead zone, this area of Legarda Road is slowly being brought to life. Read More…
Brothers Burger, Where Art Thou?
Apparently, Brothers Burger can be found in two locations in Baguio City now. (“,) There’s one at the Camp John Hay Mile Hi Center and the newest branch, in Technohub.
The first time I got to try this burger was in 2009 when I had a coworker who was a big Brothers Burger devotee. (Shout out to Chrysler! =D) He was such a fan of their burgers (really, also of food in general) that he kept an eye on the newspapers for the Brothers Burger anniversary. You see, it’s their regular promotion to slash 50% off the price of specific hamburgers to commemorate another successful year.
