Mon & Pot Lugaw Avenue: The Road to Fullness

Haha, very funny, weather.  As soon as I published the Summer’s Here, Cha Tien Giveaway blog post, it started getting gloomy cloudy.  In the succeeding days, we even had a little rain shower or two; all rightie, two seasons are here. =b I think, now’s a good time to post something about some rainy season/cold/wet days dish … just in case.

Behold, the stuff from Mon & Pot Lugaw Avenue, lugaw/rice porridge. Care to take a walk on the Avenue with me? ^^,

UPDATE: C Boutique Hotel … Angels, ‘meet Charley’.

All rightie, it’s confirmed. Charley’s is the name of C Boutique Hotel’s in house restaurant/bar. (I didn’t want to assume when Jo, Race and I went exploring what this accommodation had to offer in the way of munchables. *hee)

Anyhoo, due to the inclement weather we’ve had (Typhoon Nando’s in the Philippine area of responsibility now but I hope, it will leave the soonest *fingers crossed), I (probably everyone) didn’t get out much to check any restaurant off the list or even make a repeat visit to any of the places I liked. Boy, was I in the mood for Charley’s dishes.

It was fabulous timing that Maam Gracie of SkyCable’s Events Next Door invited my fellow blogger eatsplorers, Ane and Sam, and me to an exclusive food event at C Boutique. \m/

Diner Dash: The Face Off between 50’s Diner, Jim’s Retro Diner and Future Diner (part 2)

And now for part two of the diner dash competition!  On your mark, get set, go!

The Second Contender: Jim’s Retro Diner

In comparison to 50’s Diner, the longest running diner in Baguio City, Jim’s Retro Diner is fairly new.  It sort of looks like a ‘mini me’ compared to the veteran restaurant for its smaller floor space, smaller diner booths and smaller retro era memorabilia.  A one up that the Retro Diner has on the other diners in this competition is that, they’re right in the center of town, Session Road.  Walking by La Azotea building, be sure to look below Sports House, so you won’t miss it.
