How the List was Made…

You hear it all the time that there are only a handful of places that you can get good food in the City of Baguio.  Before I started on my quest, I had the same state of mind.  The saying, ‘seek and you shall find’ applies to this situation.  If you only go to the places that are found in town, you’ll be missing out on a lot of things.  Let’s establish from here on out that there are many places to get good food in Baguio.  As we speak, there might be a new eatery or restaurant opening in the city.  Beyond the restaurants that you find on Session Road, there are gems to be found that have made it their mission to cater to our needs and our cravings in other parts of Baguio.  Let’s follow what the Good Book says and seek, so we can find.

Diner Dash: The Face Off between 50’s Diner, Jim’s Retro Diner and Future Diner (part 2)

And now for part two of the diner dash competition!  On your mark, get set, go!

The Second Contender: Jim’s Retro Diner

In comparison to 50’s Diner, the longest running diner in Baguio City, Jim’s Retro Diner is fairly new.  It sort of looks like a ‘mini me’ compared to the veteran restaurant for its smaller floor space, smaller diner booths and smaller retro era memorabilia.  A one up that the Retro Diner has on the other diners in this competition is that, they’re right in the center of town, Session Road.  Walking by La Azotea building, be sure to look below Sports House, so you won’t miss it.

The Secret’s Out about the Secret Garden

Riding at the back of a motorcycle has its advantages.  For one, beyond looking to your front, your left, and your right as a car passenger might do, you can also look up and there will still be a view for you to behold.  It’s on one of these rides that I discovered another place to eat at.  At that first moment that I saw the structure with a wide window with glass extending to half the roof, I swooned.  Don’t you just love sunrooms?
