UPDATE: C Boutique Hotel … Angels, ‘meet Charley’.
All rightie, it’s confirmed. Charley’s is the name of C Boutique Hotel’s in house restaurant/bar. (I didn’t want to assume when Jo, Race and I went exploring what this accommodation had to offer in the way of munchables. *hee)
Anyhoo, due to the inclement weather we’ve had (Typhoon Nando’s in the Philippine area of responsibility now but I hope, it will leave the soonest *fingers crossed), I (probably everyone) didn’t get out much to check any restaurant off the list or even make a repeat visit to any of the places I liked. Boy, was I in the mood for Charley’s dishes.
It was fabulous timing that Maam Gracie of SkyCable’s Events Next Door invited my fellow blogger eatsplorers, Ane and Sam, and me to an exclusive food event at C Boutique. \m/

My C Boutique Hotel Diet
“A diet is when you watch what you eat and wish you could eat what you watch.” ~ Hermione Gingold
Luckily for me, I must have won some kind of jackpot in the genetics/metabolism lottery that I could afford to be on a “see food diet” – a phrase coined by my sister which means “I see the food, I eat the food”. (Although heaven knows how much I cross my fingers and mantra that I wouldn’t wake up one day with everything I ever ate catching up with me. *POOF I go, in my imagination. Perish the thought =D) .
Hearing about the C Boutique Hotel and running a search for their in house restaurant, I stirred myself up into excitement. This was a food adventure that Race, Jo and I had to go on, TOUT DE SUITE!
When we got to the hotel, Read More…

The Axes Food Effect
It’s not always me keeping a lookout for a good place in Baguio City to get sustenance. You could say that I’m operating with the Wonder Years opening theme in my head, going, ♪ ♫ I get by with a little help from my friends ♪. (It’s even more so today, than before I started this blog as you’ll see in a little while. =D)
On one of the days that I put myself on house arrest, Race brought home, not the bacon but dishes from Axes Cafe and Panciteria. (I’m so happy restaurants are popping up in the Wright Park vicinity. Used to be, we had to go back to town after a riding frenzy just to get something good to eat. ^^,) From the moment, we transported the food into the proper containers, the sight of it and the smell of it gave me a tingle. Oohhh, the Axes effect!
I had such a fine time with both selections that I insisted I see (and eat at) the eatery for myself. Axes was Read More…
